I’m thrilled that 38 years later than planned (that post college gap year got extended!) I now have a BA Hons in Fine Art from the University of Wolverhampton. The cherry on the cake was being awarded the Jarvis Prize for Printmaking by the Wolverhampton Society of Artists, of which I am now an honorary member. It’s never too late to tackle that last thing on the to do list!

The Halls Spiro series was made using a handmade giant spirograph. The shapes in it were found within the Civic and Wulfrun Halls in Wolverhampton. There are treads from the spiral staircase that bring the bands to the stage, a 1930's giant round window, ventilation shafts and a skylight amongst other lovely shapes to be found.

It was a great launch last night for the Creative Industries degree show. It runs for two more weeks so still time to enjoy the '40 Nights' film reclining on the floating bed, listening to the lovely score by Nick McCabe!
