A Sonnet for the Forever-Late 529 🚍😂

O 529, thou bus of mystery,
Forever late — it’s almost history!
We stand and wait, our hopes begin to fade,
Then THREE appear… like some weird bus parade. 🤦‍♂️🚍🚍🚍

The first one passes, flashing “Not in Use,”
The second’s packed — no room for one more shoe. 😅
The third rolls up like, “Hop on, friends, I’m here!”
And suddenly the world feels full of cheer. ✨

Oh Willenhall, we laugh through every wait,
For buses here run purely on fate.
Late or early, single file or packs,
The 529 keeps us on our toes — and backs! 😂

Still, through the chaos, we survive the ride…
It’s all part of our Willenhall pride. ❤️🙌

Multiple Ambulance Trusts have now been forced to slam their Resource Escalation Action Plans (REAP) straight up to Level 4 - BLACK, the absolute highest level. ✔️🚑

And let’s be crystal clear: this isn’t because crews suddenly can’t cope. It’s because hospital capacity has once again collapsed, backing up the entire system and dumping the consequences on frontline staff.

And here we are. AGAIN.
Same time. Same chaos. Same avoidable mess.

Nothing has changed.
Nothing has been learned.
And there is STILL no genuine, detailed, long-term plan from the government to fix the root causes. Not one. Just recycled promises and “winter plans” that don’t even last a week.

Meanwhile, the people paying the price are patients waiting hours for help and staff being pushed to breaking point. It’s infuriating, it’s predictable, and it’s completely unacceptable.

Isn’t it time we looked outside of the box and fixed our Triage? 🤬😡 and stopped saying Yes to everything??
