It is with regret, that due to new licensing coming into force from PPL & PRS in the near future, there will be no video interviews with their music, unless the artist has written consent from the writers, publishers, record label and management team.

This does not affect audio interviews on podcast platforms

It is with regret I have had to delete my Youtube New Starz Show account due to ongoing issues with copyright.🤬

Irrespective of whether I am given permission or not by the artist, permission has to be sought from the publishers and production companies. However, YouTube is blocking my interviews with guests on my show until I prove permission sought which can take 30 days or more each time.

I have been in contact with the PPL & PRS and they have said they are working on a licence for podcasters, but it is a long way off.

This has all come about because there are podcasters using artists material without obtaining consent and artists not wanting to be associated with certain subject matters or individuals. This has now had an adverse effect on genuine podcasters like myself.

I apologise to all my guests and followers. It is beyond my control
