🚨Phil Ellis is coming! 🚨

Best known to many as a fan favourite from Channel 4’s Taskmaster, Phil is an award-winning comedian, Edinburgh Comedy Award winner and a true comedian’s comedian. His brilliantly off-beat and anarchic style has earned multiple five-star reviews, sell-out tours and appearances on The Russell Howard Hour, Roast Battle, There She Goes and Drunk History.

🚨 The hilarious Jack Skipper will be joining us for the next Whitley Bay Comedy Gala.

Jack, hailing from South London, has recently gone from a carpet fitter with no qualifications to blowing up, becoming an internet sensation and full-time comedian.

Whether telling stories of life as a family man or observations on working-class life, his everyday guy persona has gained an impressive following on social media, with over 20 million likes on TikTok alone and 500,000 followers on Instagram.

Jack was a runner up in the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny? comedy newcomer competition in 2022, in 2023 he reached the final of the Komedia New Act comedian competition and in 2024 won Best Debut Show at Leicester Comedy Festival Awards. This year Jack will take his award-winning debut show ‘Skint’ up to Pleasance Courtyard at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Jack is has starred in the Stand Up Sketch Show on ITV2, appeared on Live at the Apollo and has been supporting Russell Kane and Suzi Ruffell on tour.

🚨 We’re delighted to annouce that Susie McCabe Comedy will also be joining us for the next Whitley Bay Comedy Gala in November.

Susie’s brilliant storytelling, acute observations and killer punchlines have made her one of the most sought-after performers in the UK. She has supported the likes of Kevin Bridges, Frankie Boyle, Ardal O’Hanlon, John Bishop and Jason Manford on their national tours.

Susie is a regular on BBC’s topical telly and radio, appearing on Have I Got News for You, Live at the Apollo, Breaking The News, News Quiz, Just a Minute and Times Radio as well as making several appearances on Frankie Boyle’s New World Order.

Susie can also be heard as a co-host on her regular podcast Here Comes The Guillotine, alongside Frankie Boyle and Christopher Macarthur Boyd where they share their subversive and darkly funny opinions on the chaos of the world, offering wholly unqualified dissent to popular opinion.

We’re delighted to announce our host for the next Whitley Bay Comedy Gala is the one and only Sammy Dobson.

Sammy is fast becoming one of the UK’s brightest new talents, an exciting and sought after host hailing from from the North East and Whitley Bay resident…Wonderfully witty, wickedly funny and has a stage presence of arena filling comedians.

Audiences adore her natural warmth and charm and she’s garnering the reputation as a ‘must see act’. Her affable style and near the knuckle repartee has seen her amass a legion of fans in and around Newcastle and it won’t stop there as she wins the hearts of audiences and industry wherever she goes.

Sammy is also currently starring as Dr.Nicole Piper in Casualty. So you never know, as well as being hilarious she may also be able to help with any minor medical issues if you’re struggling to get a doctors appointment 😂
