Following on from the popularity of our summer drama pilot, Rosehill is delighted to announce that drama club will continue, as a weekly evening session for primary school aged children.

Drama Club offers something a little different. Through exploration, play and co-learning, your child will learn the skills under pinning stage craft. They will be encouraged to apply these skills in a way that harnesses their own creativity. This form of learning will not only teach your child how to act, but help them to develop their confidence, resilience, leadership skills, creativity and imagination.

The Whitehaven Theatre Group return with another side splitting comedy farce. Made famous by James Corden, WTG will have you rolling in the isles.

Cockney wide-boy Francis Henshall legs it to Brighton when he’s sacked from his skiffle band. Ever ravenously hungry and desperate for money, he’s got jobs with two very dodgy underworld bosses. Things should be fine as long as they don’t find out about each other, right?

Richard Bean’s award-winning adaptation relocates Carlo Goldini’s 18th century Venetian farce The Servant of Two Masters to 1960s Brighton, losing none of the knockabout pace and comic momentum on the way.

What an absolutely incredible time we had organising Whitehaven Weekender with Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners and NEAD CIC!

It was great to see so many people out throughout the weekend enjoying all the creative activities, performances, stalls and music. Thank you all for coming along, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

However, the biggest thank you is to our amazing staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly to help make this all happen, providing smiling faces, helpful information, keeping everyone safe, supporting artists and performers and making sure everything ran like clockwork.

We really couldn't have done it without you ❤️❤️❤️

The wonderful installations from Mudcaster with Florence Arts Centre and Muncaster Makes with Rosehill Theatre as well as Joshua Payne's Moss Piano are looking amazing in the Church.

Develop your drawing skills and explore the human form in the unique setting of Rosehill's iconic stage.

Working with a professional life model, participants will have the opportunity to sketch a variety of poses in a relaxed and welcoming environment, suitable for all experience levels. Art materials will be provided, although you're welcome to bring your own sketchbook, favourite pencils, charcoal, or easel if you prefer.

The session will include a short break for the model to rest, with complimentary light snacks and refreshments available for participants.

Just a quick note to let you know that we'll be out of the office tomorrow for our staff away day. Our Box Office and building will be closed on Tuesday 18th August.

You can still purchase tickets online through our website, leave us a message, or send us an email. However, please bear with us as we won’t be able to respond until we're back on Wednesday 19th August.

We’ll be keeping an eye on the inbox, so if something’s really urgent, we’ll do our best to get back to you. For everything else, there might be a little delay with responses.

Our Box Office will reopen on Wednesday 19th August at 10:00, along with The People’s Gallery and Art Lab - we’re looking forward to seeing you then!
