Screenprinting! 🐒 As part of my project I've been researching the psychological symptoms of stress and depression in non human animals, particularly rhesus macaques, kept in confinement in zoos and testing labs. One of the many symptoms of zoochosis includes self mutilation and "endlessly pacing in circles", which I've tried to portray in this piece. Animals are not ours to test on or use for entertainment and keeping them confined for selfish reasons is inhumane and unjustifiable.

If you think this is a far fetched claim to make, or wish to remove the blinkers from your eyes, please take the time to watch Land of Hope and Glory on YouTube, a documentary about RSPCA approved UK farms, and you'll soon see how true this statement is.

When something worsens gradually over time, as animal farming has, we can become immune and desensitised to how immoral and despicable it truly is. That's not to say there is a moral way to raise and kill anyone for food, but today's practices inflicted upon animals are particularly abhorrent, and anyone with a conscience would surely not wish to continue to support such torture when faced with the truth. These animals know nothing but suffering, fear and pain until they are finally released from this existence through death, all for the sake of a meal that lasts minutes.

You know there something deeply wrong with society when the law states that rescuing suffering animals from places of torture is an act of terrorism. Who are the true terrorists? The ones inflicting pain or the ones who save others from pain?

The official animal rights march is only two weeks away (17th August) !! 📢 I was so gutted I couldn't go last year but will definitely be there this time, it's so important we all turn up and raise our voices for the animals, with more people vegan than ever before it should be a huge turn out 🐷🐮🦃🐾

She wrote a very emotive caption which inspired me to write a short poem. The fact that animal testing & vivisection is still happening in this day and age is absolutely disgraceful and there is no excuse for it. Our bodies are entirely different from those of other animals and there are other ways to test products & collect data without the use of a defenseless animal being subjected to torture.

Had such a magical time last night meeting the vegan king and rock god again 💖🙌 gave him one of my shirts and gave him some of her wonderful stickers. We had such an amazing time! Seeing the show from backstage felt unreal 😍 thanks again Bryan & 😘✨
