HELP: The Jubilation cart WIN The Creative Lives Awards 2022. The Jubilation cart joined the Platinum Jubilee Pageant event in June to form part of the celebrations and was also part of the procession at the Wells City Carnival in November.

Hundreds of carnivalites from 17 carnival clubs worked together on the 100-ft long cart designed to reflect the regal elements of the monarchy.

FLASHBACK: One month ago today saw more than 40,000 spectators line the street of our GREAT city. One visitor to Wells even said ''Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has nothing on Wells'' - Well we'll certainly take that compliment!!

Son of a NUTCRACKER! It's ALMOST Christmas. Santa Claus has joined the guys at Gorgons Carnival Club Christmas Cart.
The GOOD news is, they'll be coming to a street near YOU! Tonight they fly into COXLEY at 6:30pm. They won't be knocking on doors, so be sure to GREET Santa outside and make a donation!

Another Incredible night for the Somerset Carnivals this time down in the small city of Wells, A nice dry one for a change, atmosphere was incredible. Here are my photos from daytime lineup, A few clubs getting their makeup done at the football club also nighttime procession. all photos that I took are the ones I'm most happy with sorry if I missed anyone. AND CUT: That's it folks! On behalf of the team at Wells City Carnival, thank you so much for coming to watch the carnival last night. We hope you had an amazing night; I know we did!

Thanks to all the clubs and organisations that took part, you were ALL amazing. To the marshals who kept us all safe and to those who cleaned up after the event had finished and to all the Judges, who, let's be honest had the HARD task of scoring the entries.

And now we start all over again as we plan for Carnival 2023 which will be held on Friday 17th November.

We'll have an update soon on the total of donations received last night, and from us all, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We know right now is a VERY difficult time for some, and we appreciate your support.

JUBILATION the Jubilee Pageant cart arrived safely into WELLS last night at 11:30pm along with all the other clubs, some of which will be celebrating special anniversaries this year. JOIN us on Friday night for the BIGGEST show in the Wells annual diary.

Sadly, we don't have special areas to park or view. It's something we are looking into for next year. We would recommend parking in Morrisons or Lidl and watching the procession near the start.

I now have a good supply of Bridgwater dvds which is a 'two in one' the second being a comprehensive dvd of the building and driving of the Jubilee cart that went to London. £15 incl - Maurice.

It is with great sadness that we learned today of the passing of Gladys parsons. A lovely lady and a carnival stalwart for a long long time as a member of the globe carnival club . Rip Gladys xx
