Watford Band

Watford Band The Watford Band is a relaxed, traditional brass band based in Watford. All that's required is a willing attitude and a smiling face.

Watford Band rehearses twice a week at its own premises in Bushey, Herts, and performs in public about 25 times per year. We play at all sorts of events, including contests, paid concerts, charity fundraisers, summer fetes, carol concerts and occasionally even a march! We aim to uphold the tradition of banding in the Watford area and to nurture a new generation of brass players who will carry the

torch onwards. We're always on the lookout for potential new members, irrespective of ability or experience.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped to listen, clap along, and support us. We really appreciate all the kind donations received throughout the day.
We had a great time entertaining shoppers and sharing our music with the local community.

Four weeks ago, one of our Brass Beats members, Mia, was given a challenge by the MD of Watford Band — to learn the National Anthem completely off by heart in just 4 weeks! 🇬🇧🎶
We are incredibly proud to say that Mia rose to the challenge superbly. Her hard work, dedication and determination have really paid off, and she performed brilliantly!

We had a fantastic couple of days performing at the Knebworth House Garden Show! 🌿🎺
A big thank you to everyone who came along to listen and support us—it really made the weekend.
We’d also like to say a huge thank you to all of our deps who gave up some of their Bank Holiday weekend to help us out.

A special mention to Jasper (one of our Brass Beats members) who conducted the band for one piece on Saturday , what a good job he did, well done.

Last night we played our first concert of the year at St Matthews Church.

A huge thank you to our soloists Alie, Karen, Jordan and Andy, and a brilliant performance from our Brass Beats players. Thanks to their Musical Director, Martyn.

Thank you to St Matthew's Church for being such generous and welcoming hosts.

And of course, a big thank you to all our deps for their support, and to our Musical Director Ian Graves for putting together such a great programme.
