I'm Carolyn, an artist based in Hertfordshire who creates colourful, energetic artwork based on Character Design for exhibitions and commissions. The main themes of my artwork are storytelling, using colour to express emotion. I have always been attracted to the Weird and the Wonderful and the unconventional. I'm enthralled by the oddities of popular culture and I have a broad interest in music an

d films. I have started breaking into creating Fat Art, expressing my appreciation for the fuller figure. I wish to bring awareness that all bodies of all sizes are worthy. In recent years my work has taken a direction towards Wellness, creating artwork using colour to express creativity. And I have hosted Meditative Drawing groups in my local area.

But, I have my 2 Penneth and want to share my experiences and art, for other people who might have experienced something similar. Working with or around obstacles in the only ways I know I can. Thank you Thank You Herts Visual Arts for organising Artists and Makers Fair in Berkhamsted this weekend! Really enjoyed getting to meet artists from across Hertfordshire and view so many different artworks. April 1st. Sharing one of the stupidest-funniest things I've found on the net. First time i saw this blatant Ai picture of a river monster and read this top comment I cry-laughed for about 5 minutes straight!! 🤣 You can always count on the sarcasm of the Great British Public to brighten up your social media feed!! This date usually marks a bereavement anniversary, so-- I like to bring the humor for the April Fools 🪣 x

4 years ago we said "I Do!" 🍋💐 Year of Fruit and Flowers - or Linen?? 👔 depending which line of traditions you follow! Of course today for our gifts we've combined the lot! (I'm sharing this photo only because Dom likes it --I hate my face in it!!) Dominic, for all your quirks and for all that you are, you fill our world with such wonder. On 3rd Feb I hit the Big 4-Oh 🎉 After 2 weeks recovering from surgery, I wasn't interested in big parties (that's for another date 😉) we were just happy to be able to have this day free, and be able to get out and about. So we took a chance on the rainy forecast and went out to Burford in the Cotswolds; Tea and Scones, a chocolate box town, medieval village, unique gallery spaces and a gorgeous book shop -- we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day, Dominic! 💟 Feeling the love today with messages from friends and family! ###

Sunday was my first full day trip out since my surgery 2 weeks ago! Went to look at the Whales installation at St Albans Cathedral 🐋🐳 I had an ovarian cyst removed, a procedure I had been waiting over a year for. Finally I got the call - an early 40th birthday present?? 🙃 Recovery was much more debilitating than I ever expected. Been resting, but also keeping productive in other creative ways -- reading, writing would-be-novels on my laptop, editing videos for my YT. I am due to be back at my day job on the 29th. January has so far felt like a long drag, just trying to look forward to February now.....Happy 2026! 🎠 ###
