🎭 Could you help behind the scenes at Backstage Builders CIC?

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers aged 18 or over to help inspire young people through theatre, scenic art, set design and prop making.

We’d love support with:
📋 Admin — organising information, bookings and enquiries.
📱 Social media — creating and scheduling posts, sharing our projects and promoting activities.
🎨 Stage Alchemy Theatre Club — preparing materials, supporting creative activities and helping set up and tidy away.

You can help with one area or a combination—you don’t need to do everything! Admin and social media tasks may be done remotely. Theatre club support is in person on Thursday evenings at the Glebe Centre, Murton.

What could you gain?
✨ Practical experience for your CV in administration, digital communications or youth arts.
✨ Opportunities to develop your organisation, teamwork and communication skills.
✨ An insight into scenic art, prop making and set design through our activities.
✨ Connections with other creative people.
✨ The satisfaction of helping young people build confidence and discover their creativity.

You don’t need theatre experience. We’ll discuss your interests and availability and agree a manageable role, with guidance on your tasks.

These are unpaid volunteer opportunities. Volunteers working with young people will follow our safeguarding procedures, with appropriate checks for their role.

Interested? Send us a private message telling us a little about yourself, what you’d like to help with and your availability.

Please share this with someone who might enjoy joining us! 💛
