Wow 🤩 the curtain closes on a fantastic last few evenings at Lighthorne Festival & Friends Festival of One Act Plays - we were all treated to an amazing array of high quality actors and plays, delicious food provided by Eastwood Farm - Shenington and a capacity, cheerful crowd! Well done to everyone involved and to our audience!

The Festival feel is slightly different. The big-hitting touring groups – attracted by the biggest prize in UK amateur theatre – are absent and in their place an abundance of local groups, hopefully bringing their local support.

***Lighthorne Festival of One Act Plays - 2024 - CANCELLED***

Dear Lighthorne Festival Friends:

It is with deep regret that we have to announce the cancellation of the Lighthorne Festival next June 2024. Rod has faced certain health issues this year, which unfortunately remain ongoing.

The Lighthorne Festival Committee agreed with Rod that in the interests of all, we should postpone our next Festival until we are all able to give it the attention in the run-up and during the festival which it deserves.

Our deepest thanks to the Festival co-founders Penny and Peter Amis, who led the outstanding and successful efforts by the Committee to keep Lighthorne Festival going this year - 2023, but who have decided that now is the right time to step back from the organising committee - they do however, intend to remain involved with supporting the delivery of future festivals.

We shall all meet in Lighthorne again!! We fully intend to resume with a Lighthorne Festival in 2025 - Tuesday June 3rd to Saturday June 7th - when we hope and expect to be up and running again.

Anyone who would like to register an early Expression of Interest for Lighthorne Festival 2025 is welcome to do so at any point from now on by emailing Rod on [email protected].
