Old romance, lace & drapery of dreams 🕊️🕰️☁️🕯️

A wholesome Easter weekend later, it’s a new week and I’m reminiscing on this absolutely INSANE shoot I had the pleasure of designing for last week at ☁️

I count my blessings every day knowing that I get to work with such incredible creatives 🤍

Here I worked on combining soft textures with lace detailing and scripted font types. The linen design needed to be super subtle, and so I focused on simple text, combined with a lace trim along the edging. The lace I used was then incorporated into the table number design and invitation suite (photos of this will be shared soon!! 👀)

The importance of Save the Date invitations 🤍

“You know your guests the best” is something I often say to my clients... by this I mean that you know how organised you need to be in order for RSVPs to make their way back to you in good time ✨

Save the Date invitations are the perfect teaser and allow time for cogs to turn and dates to be booked out in calendars in advance🗓️

Allowing for extra time for RSVPs, not only guarantees organisation and planning from your guests, but also takes away the initial pressure of anticipating responses close to your wedding date - this can become scary and messy!

That soft illustration x old money combination 👀✨

Implementing subtle, fine line illustration into a collection with an old money / luxurious style is definitely a direction I absolutely adore going in. It helps to keep things stripped back and fresh but adds a little twist with your bespoke elements such as this Menu Border 🍸✨

Slimline menu designs are also a great way to elevate your place settings, adding depth and textures to your table scapes & can be designed to partner with your bespoke place names✨

The importance of Save the Date invitations🤍

A moment for the full collection flat lay 🥹🕯️🍇

I created this collection by combining my usual playful illustration in a sort of ‘rough sketch’ style with the simple white & red tones in order to add depth to the overall theme ❣️

Working with a stricter minimal colour palette - the bright red here against white foundations- means looking carefully at how we can maximise textures and style, such as illustration work, in order to create that overall luxury feel in its own way ❤️

Styling by the incredible challenged that singular colour palette by adding in contrasting textures; softness with flowers and the waxed effect of fruits really added to the depth 🍇

I combined playful pops of colour, pattern work and textures to create this refined stationery collection;

• Personalised Menus for each guest (a preview of the gorgeous snap they had lined up to eat 😍)
• Tambourine Place Names, alternating the chosen colour palette and also working as a sentimental keepsake
• Personalised Illustrated Cocktail Menu 🍸🐾 - implementing the icon that is beautiful Bow into the evening reception - “The Drinks Are On Bow!”

Soft monochrome tones were used to create Lauren & Brad’s ‘Save The Date’ invitations 💌

Playing around with your invitation cuts, such as an arched top creates a little extra luxury and contributed to the softer detailing carried throughout their beautiful big day✨

A beautiful couple through and through; it’s always a surreal feeling designing for those you’re friends with, and designing for Lauren, following her entire wedding process was just the loveliest feeling 🥹🤍

Hand Painted Tambourine Place Names for the beautiful Rebecca & Tom🥹🌸🩷🥂

Rebecca came to me with the idea of turning mini tambourines into musical keep sake place names for their wedding day in Barcelona - they utilised their colour palette and turned into a sweet little keep sake for each guest✨

The unreal captured these moments perfectly at the gorgeous venue I’m just utterly obsessed with how the overall look turned out for them! 🥹
