Not long now ! I only have a couple of boxes and bespoke crackers left , so don’t miss out! Chose from yummy handmade chocolates by , to fabulous beauty products by , sold out of honey im afraid but have scrummy strawberry jam by . Plus a Funny badge by quality hand made hats, jokes adn each crackers gets a Belgium chocolate! Locally made , plastic free .We are open tomorrow , Monday and Tuesday . I am sad to say that due to upcoming postal strikes I am having to close my only shop early this year . Last day for postage will be 10th December.
All my orders are posted 24/48 tracked but I just can’t risk it . Local delivery is possible and collection from my shop up until Wednesday 21st December.

WIP Something I have been working on, a 1880s mirror restoration that was converted to electrics in the 1930/40s I believe, candle holders yet be fixed in place with new electrics but so pleased with it so far scroll for photos of the before photos - when I started work it was in bits & had bits missing and in need of some love can’t wait to finish !

Dorset Arts Festival takes place from Wednesday 29th June to Sunday 3rd July at Sculpture by the Lakes near Dorchester.

Stephen Yates will be one of the many Dorset artists demonstrating their skill and selling their artwork. Stephen finds inspiration in the architecture of Nature. From local walks, from his home on the Coast at Portland; and West Dorset; where the perspective of this unique landscape is greatly altered by walking up local hilltops, previously occupied by ancient ancestors and all along the Jurassic coastline, which is unrivalled in its variety.

Stephen’s artwork in both Ceramics and Painting has been described as a ‘Cipher’, a code, which reveals itself through his own personal marks of expression. Stephen is a teacher with vast experience of leading groups in both disciplines.

Entry to the festival is £14.50pp and includes entrance into the sculpture park, our indoor gallery, Gallery by the Lakes, our sculpture courtyard and all the exhibitors. There will also be food and drink from our outdoor Fire & Food kitchen and our cafe will also be open serving a delicious take away menu.

FINAL WEEKEND of Dorset Art Weeks 2022 !!
Yes that’s right guys I’m about to open for what is the last weekend of this extraordinary event spanning right across the fantastic county of Dorset ,so come for an adventure and explore the artistic community here in the sunshine county of smiles
I’m open from 10am until 7pm today and tomorrow,outside you’ll find my Dorset Fairytale Workshop display with whimsical chainsaw carvings feathers greenmen and ofcourse those “little Herbert’s”
Whilst inside is my little more serious sculptures and turned art two totally different avenues of work only joined by the depths of my imagination ,so come along and join me for a while on my journey in my world of wood
Today I will be carving some wishing wells !!!!

High recommend a visit to Darren Wheeler during Dorset Arts weeks very talented wood Turner and Sculptor !

WE ARE OPEN !!!!
Yes it maybe ten minutes or so early but we’re open and all ready to welcome you at venue 59 for the 2022 Dorset Art Weeks !!!!
There’s loads to see here with more work on display inside the workshop and there’s even a great little cafe nearby the “Breezy ridge” situated just opposite the business park next to the vineyard (within walking distance)
There will be various demonstrations going on throughout the open exhibition by myself so please do call in and say hi !
