Lovely to see some more of my prints in our paper conservation department before they leave for an surrleasim international loan. A dozen prints in total from a mix of Eileen Agar and Paul Nash. These are off to Dallas, Texas for their first stop.

Exhibition prints can be a bit trickier, especially when they are from a negative. Matching the tone and paper as best as possible to honour the artists’ intent. I will always try to match against a reference original if possible.

Sometimes I get a full table of prints and realise most people don’t get to see these sorts of behind the scenes. I need to post these more often

I have been working on some reproductions for an upcoming loan. As part of my role as Print and Imaging Officer, I have the fun task of making facsimiles of works from the archive and library that travel all over when the artwork cannot.

In this case we have an Ithell Colquhoun booklet ‘Bonsoir’, TGA 929/6/1 as well and some other items.

Great to see some of my recent prints on the wall!

There was over 130 photographic reproductions including a selection on 47 Polaroid facsimiles constructed of multiple colour matched prints cut out and stuck together.

Been having more fun with paper marbling this weekend. A change in pigments has taken the quality up a big notch and the metallic pigments take give them a little bling.
