Get ready for an unforgettable weekend packed with spectacular outdoor performances, live music, creative activities and family fun. Across the festival, you'll experience incredible work from some of the UK's leading outdoor arts companies, including Autin Dance Theatre () , Levantes Dance Theatre (), Company Chameleon (), Tit for ), Gobbledegook Theatre () and Nua Dance- Neus Gil Cortรฉs ().

Meet Eko the Sea Giant in Out of the Deep Blue, join the fun with Street Games, look up in awe as performers soar above the crowd in BLOOM(s), be captivated by the powerful duet Push, laugh your way through the literary chaos of Books!, relax beneath the clouds with Cloudscapes, and experience the thought-provoking Who Do You Think I Am?.

Alongside the performances, enjoy our WOW! Karaoke Stage, hands-on creative workshops, aerial dance taster sessions, storytelling, crafts, and performances from talented young people on our Next Gen Stage, featuring schools, community groups and emerging artists from across the region, and a creation of LIVE mural by Alice Tanasie (.art)

We're now just two weeks away from an incredible weekend of outdoor arts, dance, performance and creativity at Walsall Arboretum!

WOW! Fest is returning bigger than ever, with a programme packed full of spectacular performances, interactive workshops, family activities, aerial experiences, live music, delicious food and so much more. Whether you're joining us for a few hours or spending the whole weekend exploring the festival, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Do you have a passion for capturing moments, telling stories through visuals, and celebrating community spirit?

We're looking for local photographers and videographers to join us as volunteers at WOW! Fest and help capture the magic of this unique outdoor festival. From incredible performances and family activities to moments of connection, creativity and joy, we want to document the festival through a variety of creative lenses.
We'd love to see WOW! Fest through different eyes and discover the unique perspectives, stories and community spirit that different creatives can capture. Whether you're an experienced professional, a student building your portfolio, or a passionate hobbyist, we'd love to hear from you.

๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ‹ The team behind WOW! Fest, Autin Dance Theatre, are bringing their spectacular outdoor production Out of the Deep Blue to Walsall this summer.

A magical tale told in two parts, Out of the Deep Blue follows the journey of Eko, a magnificent Sea Giant, and little Violet as they navigate a changing world together. Combining an interactive walkabout experience with a captivating physical theatre duet, the performance invites audiences of all ages to step into an unforgettable story of wonder, connection and hope.

At the heart of the production is Eko, a breathtaking 13-foot-tall puppet brought to life by five world-class puppeteers and contemporary dancers. Together with Violet, Eko explores themes of environmental sustainability, ocean conservation and the biodiversity crisis, encouraging audiences to reflect on our relationship with the natural world.

Created with children and families in mind, this enchanting production celebrates the power of empathy, collaboration and collective action. Through stunning visuals, movement and storytelling, Out of the Deep Blue offers a joyful and inspiring experience that speaks to audiences of all generations.

๐Ÿ’ซ Coming to WOW! Fest 2026 is Push by Company Chameleon โ€“ a powerful and captivating dance duet that explores the complexities of human relationships.

Created by Anthony Missen and Kevin Edward Turner, Push is an engaging female duet that examines the different ways we connect, communicate and relate to one another. Through Company Chameleon's distinctive blend of athleticism, sensitivity and physical storytelling, the performance explores the delicate balance between strength and vulnerability, dominance and submission, control and compromise.
Part of a trilogy examining relationship dynamics, Push uses striking movement and emotional depth to reveal the often-unspoken forces that shape our interactions with others.

โ˜๏ธโœจ We are delighted to announce that weโ€™ll be welcoming Gobbledegook Theatre ()to WOW! Fest 2026 with their captivating outdoor performance, Cloudscapes.

Part performance, part installation and part invitation to pause and look up, Cloudscapes encourages audiences to reconnect with the skies above and consider our changing relationship with the natural world.

Blending creativity, curiosity and conversation, this unique experience draws inspiration from cloud formations, weather systems and the science of climate change. Through playful interactions and imaginative storytelling, audiences are invited to slow down, observe and reflect on the beauty and fragility of our environment.

Created by Gobbledegook Theatre in collaboration with artist Heidi Steller, and with dramaturgical support from author John Grindrod and Zoe Svendsen, Cloudscapes was also developed alongside meteorologists and scientists studying climate change, creating a fascinating meeting point between art and science.

A thought-provoking and uplifting experience for all ages, Cloudscapes invites us to take a fresh look at the skies above our heads.

๐ŸŒโœจ We are delighted to announce that weโ€™ll be welcoming Nua Dance- Neus Gil Cortรฉs () to WOW! Fest 2026 with their thought-provoking interactive performance, Who Do You Think I Am?

This unique acro-dance experience invites audiences to explore different perspectives on migration, identity and belonging through the story of Juan and his journey to the UK.

You can choose to experience the work through augmented reality on your phone or follow a paper-based interactive journey. Along the way, you'll be encouraged to reflect on your own perceptions, assumptions and responses as the story unfolds.
Created by two immigrants living in the UK, from Mexico and Spain, Who Do You Think I Am? draws on lived experiences of being defined by an accent, nationality or immigration status before being seen as an individual.

Combining movement, storytelling and audience participation, this powerful and engaging performance offers a chance to connect, reflect and see the world from a different perspective.

๐ŸŒธ We are delighted to announce that weโ€™ll be welcoming the incredible Levantes Dance Theatre () to WOW! Fest 2026 with their breathtaking aerial performance, BLOOM(s).

Ethereal and mesmerising, BLOOM(s) transforms the sky into a stage as two giant flowers sway and dance high above the crowds in an elegant aerial choreography. Combining strength, grace and fluid movement, these towering blooms bring colour, wonder and a touch of magic, inviting audiences to look up, pause and share a moment of delight.

A spectacular experience for all ages, BLOOM(s) is sure to be one of the highlights of this yearโ€™s festival.

โœจ Only 3 Weeks to Go Until WOW! Fest 2026! โœจ

The countdown is on! In just 3 weeks, Walsall Arboretum will be filled with incredible performances, inspiring artists and exciting activities for all ages.

This year's WOW! Fest programme is packed with outdoor performances, dance and movement workshops, and we're especially excited to be bringing some very special aerial workshops to the festival. Whether you want to watch, take part, learn something new or simply enjoy the atmosphere, there will be plenty to discover throughout the weekend.

There will also be a fantastic selection of food and drink stalls across the festival site, so get ready for two full days of creativity, culture and fun in the heart of Walsall.
