Knowing my love of rope a very dear friend recently gave me the honour of creating the Handfasting cord for her Handfasting Ceremony β¨οΈπππβ¨οΈ
Rope is so symbolic. The loop of each knot tied with love, care and attention. For me it is truly medititive, bringing together prayer and intention to creative something truly beautiful which holds so much power.
Handfasting cords have been used for 1000's of years for traditional weddings across many cultures, with roots in accent Celtric, Norse, and early European marriage traditions.
It is the orgin of the phrase "Tie the Knot" as during the ceremony the Handfasting cord, the couples hands are tied together to symbolise their commitment. Binding them together.
Bringing this tradition into my offerings is a privilage. It is a great honour to share my love and appreiciation and the powerful symbolism of rope in all its forms πͺ’πͺ’πͺ’
