THIS SATURDAY we're back at The Red Shed for the monthly disco spinning absolute bangers and bops from our stash of 7" vinyl singles, with a classic 70s and 80s roadshow vibe!

Shall we hit the 70s disco, 60s bubblegum pop, 80s synthpop or wander all the way up to 90s and 00s rock? Who knows - get those requests in and if it's in the boxes it can go on the decks!

Needle goes down at 7pm, requests are welcome and the dancefloor is OPEN 🎶

MORNING! I'm currently on the hunt for a venue for a second monthly residential retro disco in or near Wakefield (my home town), so if you know a venue who'd be up for a 6ft2 blonde jukebox with a pile of 7" records and a penchant for chaotic segues, give me a shout!

Self-contained setup including PA and classic disco lights, fully insured and DBS checked - a proper retro disco just like they used to be!

Lunchtime today is a few tweaks on the Purple Meanie after last weekend's gigs, accompanied by some absolute bops acquired from our local record shop Wah Wah Records. Especially pleased I picked up that Pixies disc - that'll be fab for a couple of nights coming up in June!

WOW! What a BELTER of a night that was at The Red Shed last night! Everything from Candi Staton to Nine Inch Nails, Sham 69 to Huey Lewis & The News! Thank you so much for coming, everyone and all your requests, certainly ranks among one of the best so far 😘

For the music geeks among you: while the place filled up early-doors I started with a load of "disco tracks sampled for other songs" - such as Rose Royce' "Is It Love You're After" (Theme From S Express), Barry White's "It's Ecstacy When You Like Down Next To Me" (Robbie Williams' Rock DJ), and Pino D'Angio's "Ma Quale Idea" (Madison Avenue's Don't Call Me Baby) among others. Fun stuff!

THIS SATURDAY at The Red Shed in WAKEFIELD 💃🏼🪩🕺🏼

We're back for our monthly WOW retro disco residential - and it's going to be a SMASHER, not least cos it's my birthday next week so I'll be using that as an excuse to play some of my own faves!

Plus of course all the usual rock, pop, ska, Northern soul and indie bangers you request, all played from original 7" vinyl singles with classic dancefloor lights and a proper disc jockey!
