TONIGHT: The Red Lion - Hatfield SpeedQuizzing!

It's a bit much in the current economy to expect a full house for SpeedQuizzing the night before an England match, but Shaun had a very respectable ten teams at The Chieftain - Welwyn Garden City this week!

FLEETWOOD MACCAS had a -50 point handicap, but would have still finished in third place even without it. BUZZING! really were buzzing, as they managed second place after third last time, but our latest champions are BIG JONNO!

Just when you think the World Cup will keep the attendance down at SpeedQuizzing nights, the regulars at Jolly Postie - Royston prove me wrong again! 15 teams, and some good scores...

RED HOT QUIZZY PEPPERS bagged another win, with NORFOLK N CHANCE in second with just the two of them this time!

Loki on team I AM SMARTACUS wanted to go somewhere dead cool for his 15th birthday, so chose to bring his family to The Postie! (Right decision, Loki...) They led the whole night until the final round, finishing in third.

AND FINALLY....
Last time we did the quiz on a night when England were playing in a tournament, we still pulled in seven teams. They'll be playing next Tuesday, and we already have TEN TEAMS booked in!

I've been crazy busy with hosting SpeedQuizzing events for many years now, but I currently have a vacancy for a new venue!

I've decided that, after trialling it for several months now, one of my monthly Thursday venues here in Bedfordshire is never going to work due to its location. So, if any of my wonderful regular players know of somewhere that might be interested in having a SpeedQuizzing night on the second and fourth Thursdays every month, please ask their manager to get in touch!

While not the biggest pub I host SpeedQuizzing at, The Black Horse Tring is certainly one of the wildest! As you'll see from the video below, where MRS AMANDA COOMBES challenged THE RABBITS to a dance off. And while the Coombes won the challenge (and 50 points), The Rabbits won the quiz!

Honestly, I can't wait for the next quiz night in two weeks time - anything could happen!

No surprises that turnout was going to be lower than usual on the opening night of the World Cup, but we still pulled in 30 players across 13 teams where I covered Angus 'El Flaco's SpeedQuizzing event at The Shakespeare in Victoria, resulting in these two teams taking the prizes!

Sadly where Shaun was covering at Yorkshire Grey Biggleswade, the turnout was too low for the quiz to go ahead. When we've been hosting to 30+ players most of this week, four won't quite cut it!

SpeedQuizzing is back tonight at Yorkshire Grey in Biggleswade! We had to skip last month's quiz due to an urgent family issue, but tonight you have Shaun in the hot seat while Owen takes care of an event in central London.

We had a busy one at Club 124 this week! 11 teams packed in for SpeedQuizzing, and we had a new winning team! Congrats to PRAGGNANANDHA, who beat second place BEN STOKES' ABSTINENCE CREW by a massive 78 points.

There's NO QUIZ NEXT WEDNESDAY due to England playing their first World Cup match, so I'll see you all in two weeks on Wednesday 24th June.
