What a fantastic first day at the Sodbury Yarn Over! Two busy fun workshops making mini sheep and bluebell woodlands. Thank you to all that came on the workshops and those who popped in to say hi! There are just a few carded “ready to roll” landscape batts left if anyone wants to grab one today!

Hedgehog and Hoot has lots of plans for 2026 !

I’ll be running workshops again from my studio now in Wroughton near Swindon.There are also a few joint classes being planned with other wonderful tutors including Little Acorn Crafts.

To kick things off I’d like to share this exciting event - I’m really thrilled to be running workshops along with other amazing creatives at this fantastic event!

All set up for todays large Flamingo workshop (and a ostrich for a talented regular who has already made a flamingo 😍).

There are still two places left on the 3rd December’s large flamingo workshop if you fancy making your own.

Time: 10.00 - 17.00
Cost: £75

All materials, use of equipment, hot drinks provided as well as lots of felting fun!

What a fun alpaca head workshop we had this weekend in the studio. Those who could only do 1 long day rather than 2 days have a little to do still to finish so hopefully more photos to come. Love the brilliant characters shining through on the fabulous faces created so far 😍❤️ Typically I forgot to take photos of 3 of the alpacas.
Next Sunday is the large Flamingo head workshop - can’t wait to see how flamboyant the flamingos become! There are still 2 places available if anyone fancies joining - £75 10-5 in my wonderful cabin near Cricklade, Swindon 🦩

New trader will be bringing her beautiful linear sculptures to Shop Small Swindon in October. Laura’s work derives from all kind of influences within the natural world and she particularly loves to make flowers. Laura creates wire sculptures combined with driftwood, crystals and wool/cord. Her work ranges from decorative pieces to one off commissions. Laura loves to take long walks in the countryside capturing the next inspiration through photography, then back to her desk to begin drawing and planning the next piece. Using the skills, she’s learnt throughout a varied creative/art/teaching career Laura achieves fluid and minimal designs celebrating natural forms in its purist way through line.
