What a blast it was performing magic with my Dad again! ❤️
It’s been over 30 years since we were last on stage together!
Dad got this booking months ago and thought it would be perfect for a double father-and-son show. Then, of course, I had my crazy e-scooter accident, breaking 12 bones, and it became touch-and-go whether I’d even make it onto the stage at all.
I was gutted to miss Magic Live and all my other gigs, but I was determined not to miss this one.
I wasn’t able to do any manipulation and had to carefully select the tricks I could perform, but I made it… just! 😂 And what a night it was.
The evening was a huge success, and it was genuinely fantastic to be performing alongside Dad again after all these years. ❤️
I’m definitely feeling it now, though! I probably overdid it a little, and after today’s hospital check-up and X-rays, it seems I now need some more scans and MRIs due to inflammation and some areas not healing as well as hoped.
But hey… it’s progress, right?
Small steps.
I just can’t wait until I’m fully healed and back on the road doing what I love again.
And for all my Grum Leather Craft clients out there — I haven’t forgotten you! I’m still restricted from any weight-bearing work and repetitive impact work, such as hammering and leather work, but hopefully it’s not too far off.
As soon as I’m able, I’ll be back at the bench getting your orders prepared.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. It really means a lot.
Ari ❤️
