Take Art

Take Art Take Art is a pioneering arts charity, serving the towns, villages and rural communities of Somerset.

We do this by providing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to experience, participate and work within the arts. Every year we provide performance and workshop opportunities for thousands of children, young people, adults, older people and vulnerable groups. Through our work we seek to educate, inform national practice, improve self-esteem, empower, build empathy, careers, happiness

as well as physical and mental well-being. We don't wait for the people to come to us, we go out to where the people live and transform lives and communities through the arts.

10 years of RTDI ✨

We’re proud to have been a partner for the Rural Touring Dance Initiative - a 10-year project that has helped bring brilliant dance performances, residencies and participatory projects into rural and community venues across the country.

RTDI has been shaped by artists, touring schemes, venues, audiences and partners working together to support dance in rural places.

Over the coming weeks, RTDI will be looking back at some of the performances, people and moments that have shaped the project.
