First look at one of the three logo directions for Lighting Up Lives CIC 🎆⭐️💡
After sharing some of my initial concepts for this branding project, the client narrowed things down to three different logo directions. So I’m going to be sharing each one in a little more detail, starting with this one!
Once the logo direction was established, I explored how different colour palettes could completely change the personality of the identity. For this concept, I explored two very different colour routes, creating five logo variations for each.
💜 Colour palette 01
This palette combines deep midnight blues with vibrant magenta, cyan and purple, balanced with a soft cream.
I wanted this combination to feel energetic, modern and a little unexpected, while still connecting back to the idea of light. The contrast between the darker blues and brighter colours creates a kind of visual vibration, inspired by the way light refracts through a glass prism.
🧡 Colour palette 02
For the second route, I went in a much warmer direction, combining amber and soft coral with ocean blue, bright yellow, deep teal and a neutral grey.
This palette was inspired by human connection and shared light. The warmer tones represent warmth, creativity and personal connection, while the blues and teal bring in feelings of trust, unity and collaboration.
I really enjoyed seeing how much the colour palette could change the overall feeling of the same logo. One feels energetic and vibrant, while the other feels warmer and more people-focused.
This is just one of the three directions explored for the project, with two more to come!
