A recent poster design I created for the Unplugged Street Festival for The Purple Owl 🦉✨📸

For this piece, I wanted to take a slightly different approach from the brand's usual event materials, using photography as the main focus to showcase the studio space and capture the atmosphere of the venue.

By pairing strong imagery with clean typography and a simple layout, the aim was to create something that felt more refined while still staying true to The Purple Owl's visual identity.

I always enjoy exploring how a brand can adapt its tone across different campaigns while remaining recognisable and consistent.

When I was studying graphic design, I thought success meant mastering every Adobe tool, creating amazing concepts and having a perfect portfolio.

As a junior designer, I've realised that some of the most valuable skills aren't always the ones you're taught in class. Communication, organisation, taking feedback and understanding the brief have been just as important as the design work itself.

What skills surprised you most when you started your career? 👇✨

A recent Kids What's On poster I designed for The Purple Owl, a pottery painting studio and events venue in Wandsworth 🖍️🦉✨

The aim was to create something fun, playful and engaging for a younger audience while still feeling connected to The Purple Owl's existing brand identity.

Using hand-drawn illustrations, expressive typography and plenty of creative details, I wanted the design to capture the excitement of pottery painting, crafts and family-friendly events in a way that felt both informative and inviting.

I love exploring how design can adapt for different audiences while maintaining a consistent brand presence.

A recent “What’s On” poster I designed for The Purple Owl, a pottery painting studio and events venue in Wandsworth 🖍️🦉✨

Using the brand’s established colour palette, bold typography and playful illustrations, I created a design that feels fun, engaging and easy to navigate while staying true to their visual identity.

I love creating marketing materials that not only look great but help businesses connect with their audience.

Some initial poster concepts I created for The Purple Owl 🦉🎨✨

The Purple Owl first got in touch after finding me on Instagram, and I've since worked with them across a range of creative projects, including branding, social media, videography and marketing materials.

These "What's On" poster designs were part of our early exploration phase, helping define the visual direction of the brand. We experimented with different layouts, typography, colour palettes and illustration styles to find a look that felt fun, creative and true to the business.

I always enjoy this stage of a project, getting ideas down, testing different directions and seeing a brand start to come together.

Nonno’s Favourite began with my grandad, Dominico.

He was proudly Italian, and everything in his life revolved around food, family, and bringing people together. Some of my strongest memories are of him in the kitchen - cooking without recipes, trusting instinct and filling the room with the kind of food that made everyone feel at home. For him, it was never just about eating; it was about connection, laughter and sharing something meaningful.

In 2018, we lost him to motor neurone disease. This project is my way of keeping a part of him alive.

Every detail of Nonno’s Favourite has been built with that same spirit in mind. The menu isn’t just food - it’s family. Each pizza and dessert is named after the people he loved most, inspired by their personalities and the role they play around the table. It’s a celebration of character, tradition and the little moments that make up a family.

This restaurant is about more than Italian food. It’s about the feeling of sitting down together, passing plates around and not wanting the night to end.

Just like Nonno would have wanted. ❤️
