Next weekend on Saturday 7th Sep I shall be joining The 40's Home Front once again at the fabulous Cley Hall Hotel for their 1940s day. The event runs from 12 til 5 and will be packed with great music, there will be stalls, vintage cars and lots of dancing and fun. (I might even throw in a few of my special jokes 🤣🤣 ). Come along and join us and support this lovely event. I for one can't wait 😄
I'm looking forward to my first time performing at
Ramsey 1940s Weekend on 17th/18th August. I get to meet once again with the fabulous Miss Lily Lovejoy Vintage Vocalist and Entertainer and the inimitable Kyle Evans As George Formby . I also get to meet with Bud & Ches Adam Hoffman and Rosy Apples and the wonderful Victoria Bass who I have followed on socials for sometime but never gotten to meet.
I shall be there on both days crooning some tunes and taking requests like this fab Bing Crosby song...
I also hope to have a wander over to say hi to Paul and Sally of Back Two who are performing at the Ramsey Rural Museum CIO on the Sunday.
Did someone say they like Buddy Holly songs? .... Well funnily enough so do I....

Here's a little bit of Henry Mancini/Jonny Mercer from today's set at the Cedars Care Home - Barchester Healthcare to be going on with. What a fabulous bunch they are. They even bribed me with tea and a chocolate biscuit to sing a couple of extra songs.... It doesn't take much to get me to sing a bit more 😁. Looking forward to next time 😀

Well today marked my final performance of the weekend and my final D Day commemoration for 2024. It was wonderful to see so many people there singing along to old favorites and dancing to great songs of the past. This song is one I heard a few years ago sung by the wonderful Katherine Jenkins. I cannot hope to match her but having finally located a decent track to suit my voice, courtesy of London Arrangements, I had the privilege of singing it for the folks of Oakham and surrounding areas who all met at Oakham's Cutts Close Park D Day Event. Whenever I attend a care home I always do a quick sound check and warm up song to ensure the quality is right and the volume not too loud... well warm up or not these guys were ready to dance.
