I asked her if she liked Spanish classes. She said yes.

I asked her what her favourite part was.

‘Playing with you.’

Not the songs. Not the crafts. Just being there, together, in Spanish.

That’s the part no one sees from the outside — the relationship that makes the language stick.

Most people think children learn words by repeating them.

Neuroscience disagrees.

When a child hears a word AND feels a texture at the same time — their brain stores that word in multiple places simultaneously.

The sensory cortex. The motor cortex. The emotional memory. The language centre.

More connections means stronger memory.

The word doesn’t fade. It doesn’t disappear after the class.

It stays.

This is why every single session at Shaping Little Minds is built around multisensory learning.

Not because it’s fun — although it is.

Because it’s how young brains are actually wired to learn.

The mess is not the point.

The memory is.
