Something new is taking shape.

I’m working on new pieces that will be coming soon to the website and to inside Ulverston Indoor Market.

A little preview from the worktable — I can’t wait to share more.

Again Again by Hannah is now online.

Handmade paper and hand-bound notebooks, made slowly in small batches for notes, letters, plans and the words worth keeping.

It’s the last day to grab this wonderful flip book from Marras Nook in Ulverston Market!

Ellie Chaney's flip book was produced for Artspace: Arts projects and Residencies in South Cumbria’s REVERB project, it’s a tenner & the money goes to Furness Refugee Support, who helped with the project!

For notes, letters, plans and the words worth keeping.

Hand-bound in small batches, with each cover and page carrying the marks of the making.

A quiet moment from the studio.

I make paper and bind notebooks by hand, with room for the texture, variation and evidence of the process to remain.

For notes, plans, letters and the things worth returning to.

Paper, remade by hand for what you want to keep.

Each sheet begins slowly: fibre, water, texture and time. The small irregularities are part of the point—they make every piece its own.

Made by hand, again and again.

Some words deserve a page made with care.

My brother chose my handmade paper for his wedding vows and speech, then kindly let me share this moment. It’s a reminder that paper can hold more than ink—it can hold a memory.

Made by hand, again and again.

I couldn’t bring myself to repulp these.

Every sheet of paper I make leaves a few offcuts behind — pieces too small, too odd-shaped, or just left over once I’ve cut what I needed. Usually they go back in the vat and become something else entirely.

But some of them are just too nice for that. A corner of dusty blue. A scrap of sage green. A shape that doesn’t fit anything I’m currently making, but is clearly still good paper.

So instead of pulping them back down, I started bundling them into packs — warm tones in one, cool tones in the other. Nothing wasted, nothing forced into a shape it didn’t want to be.

They’re in Marras Nook now, £3 a pack, and they’ve genuinely become one of my favourite things I make.

What would you make with a pack like this — collage, journaling, something else entirely?
