We are very sad, unexpected car issues mean we won't be able to have a sales table at the fair tomorrow. We have enjoyed going to these fairs as a buyer, and we were excited to be attending as a seller this weekend. We hope all the sellers have a successful day

All set up and ready to sell! Ruby's Vintage & Retro Fair

Today is sorting day. We are being very brave and this year we will selling items that are surplus to our various collections. Our first sales table will be on Saturday 28th March at the excellent Ruby's Vintage & Retro Fair being held at the Catholic Hall in Thatcham (on the A4). Do come along and have a rummage! There will be plenty of gramophone related items, including miniature advertising 78s, gramophones, needle tins, swing 78s, and general spares and accessories. If there is anything in particular you are looking for let us know and we will see what we can do.

All set up and ready to play Army Flying Museum

If you are looking for half term activities this week why not pop along to the Army Flying Museum where you can step back in time to the 1940s.

We will be there on Thursday 19th with our gramophones and records; bringing the sounds of the 40s to life

It was our interest in the home front of WW2 that started us on the road to displaying our gramophones, so it's a joy to have the opportunity to go back to our roots and bring the music we love to a new audience.

And so a new year of sharing the shellac has begun, with a visit to a local care home yesterday.

2025 was a bumper year for us. We made 15 visit to 7 different care homes. We took our gramophones to 5 public events, and 2 private events. We also made our first visit to a local dementia cafe.

We already 12 have confirmed bookings for 2026, which is really exciting.

We are grateful to everyone who has supported our efforts to show just how good a gramophone can sound; and we look forward to lots of new adventures during 2026.

Picture shows all the needles used during 2025 (no, we are not going to count them!) It's nice to start the year with empty used needle dishes.
