Carla was at our first night in May and has a huge collection of girl group records. Her award winning documentary Since Yesterday - The Untold Story of Scottish Girl Bands is available on the iPlayer.

Be sure to check out the melodic guitar sounds of Supersun if you’re going to Musicfest MainStage tomorrow in Uddingston. Adam (left) and Christopher (right) played a blinding set at our first night in May and we will definitely have them back.

Christopher also plays in Uddingston band Fatale who have been making (air) waves with their debut EP. Chris and singer Ben hand delivered a copy to our Gaz at our August Sunday Social. Check their song Jesus Christ (video on YouTube) that’s picked up airplay on BBC Radio 1 introducing among other stations.

Join us at The Rowantree Inn Uddingston for our second Sunday Social on 1st November from 3-8pm.

ENTRY is free but ticketed to give us an idea of numbers. PLEASE only book tickets if you are pretty certain you are coming. Link in comments.

Bring records to play (or UVLC DJ's can play) and discuss. Or just come to listen to great music + hang out.

Expect;
- An eclectic mix of music. We've had Arab Strap to Zappa! We also love pop, 60's beat groups, punk, new wave, Motown and northern soul, 80's indie, 90's Britpop, electro and well ... pretty much anything goes. Although we don't want to clear the pub! Extreme noise/heavy metal isn't really what we're going for here!

- A warm, friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Mingle, show people your records, ask about theirs. We are building a wee community of music and vinyl lovers.

- Open decks - bring a few records to get a shot on the decks, or hand them over to UVLC DJ's and they can play them for you.

- UVLC DJ's and friends. Please drop us a line if you fancy playing.

Hi folks

Our next Sunday Social at The Rowantree Inn Uddingston will be on 1st November.

It will be free, however you will need to book a ticket. This helps give us an idea of numbers and allows communication in advance.

There will be an open decks slot where you can bring a few records and get up to play them. Or you can pass them to UVLC DJ’s to play. Or you can simply come to listen to an eclectic mix of music and hang out.

FREE TICKETS will be available to book from Thursday this week.
