Took a wee walk today …

Walked passed my old school where my drama dreams were nurtured by the most supportive drama teacher. Looking up over the roof of my old school drama department on a very cloudy day I saw a glimpse of blue.

This old biz we adore, embrace, and give our all to can be heartbreaking, tough and scary. Those grey clouds feel so real… but there’s also the beautiful blue creeping through… 🎭

Manchester Group🫶

Oh Manchester … we arrived, we laughed, we listened, we reflected, we saw, we felt, and we are ready to smash this !

When setting up there was a hope we would meet a small group of creative grads who felt that would be a space that offered, kindness, safety and fun! All with a London base.

BUT !!!! Folks continued to get in touch who were based across the north of the country. We wanted to respond, be brave and offer a home in the mighty Manchester.

The result is this amazing group of creatives.

Sometimes life organically shows you other opportunities to just go out and grab (regardless of your plans) taking you on other paths (or in our case on the M6) and it was a joy 🫶

Oh gosh 🥹 About last night 🫶

We started group 1 with our London group yesterday and I have no words to describe the energy, kindness, love and the creative force in that room. It was truly special 🩷

I can not express the gratitude I have for each and every one of you ! 🙏 The commitment, the openness, the kindness you showed and shared yesterday was overwhelming.

Yesterday was the start of firm friendships, amazing ideas and solid uniformity in our desires for graduate creatives to have a voice. All growing from this amazing group of humans from the moment they stepped into the room.

We can not wait to welcome the rest of you joining us for session 2. We missed you, but just know, that love, community and a safe creative space will always be ready and waiting for you when you arrive 🫶

Home is where the heart is … and my goodness our heart is with The Cockpit.

I have worked with The Cockpit before and there was only one place I wanted to call home for our London family!

The Cockpit are a perfect partner for us. One thing they say about themselves is that they are a company that programme, and work with people who, “support new talent”. You can therefore see they are are a perfect fit for us and for our graduates.
