Art on Your Doorstep: Sunflowers, March 2026.

A wonderful project commissioned by the National Gallery and curated by Torre Abbey has come to Torquay this month. A new trail featuring lifesize copies of 30 famous artworks (and information boards) has been sited between Torquay Station and the harbourside. The Gallery's collection is part of the heritage of the nation - it's great to see it brought here as part of an installation that runs until September. Entries for the 2026 Torbay Community Carnival Procession are now open, and everyone is welcome to take part.
Businesses, charities, community groups, and individuals can all enter, and it’s completely free. We’d love as many entries as possible to showcase the creativity, diversity, and community spirit that makes our Bay so special.
Participants are encouraged to dress up, decorate, and have fun while bringing colour and excitement to the streets of Paignton. To enter, simply follow the link below to access the entry form and register your place in this year’s procession.

All rides will be FREE for the entire day
Come along, enjoy the historic railway, take in the views, and celebrate a century of this iconic attraction with us.

Built in 1926, the Babbacombe Cliff Railway has shuttled hundreds of thousands of holiday makers to and from Oddicombe Beach in almost 100 years of service.
We're currently open Wednesday-Sunday, from 10am to 4pm
