Loupy Lou & Mindy Moo
We are both creative souls, but with two completely different styles — which is probably why we work so well together! Our individual makes speak loudly of our personalities and, in many ways, are a reflection of who we are.
Lou is contemporary, sleek, stylish, elegant and organised — with just a little bit of bossiness thrown in! 😂 All of this comes through in everything she creates. She is also her own biggest critic. Out of ten makes, she’ll probably only let one make the cut!
Mindy, on the other hand, is a little ditsy, a dreamer, clumsy, unorganised and beautifully chaotic! And this shines through in her work. Her pieces are fluid and organic, perhaps a little rough around the edges, but completely individual. Mindy likes to name her pieces because, to her, they take on a personality of their own.
And that’s what makes us Loupy Lou & Mindy Moo. Two very different makers, but in both of our work you can see a little piece of who we are.
Together, we took a leap of faith and jumped in with both feet, turning what was once a pipe dream into reality. That is something we should never forget. It started as a dream — and at times, it felt like a dream that was much bigger than us. But somehow, we did it!
We now get to teach people how to create beautiful things from one of the most organic materials there is. And what makes us most proud is watching people grow in their own creativity and talent.
We beam when a student walks through the door with an “out there” idea. We love watching that initial spark turn into something real, and seeing confidence grow along the way. It’s infectious — and, in many ways, our students teach us to believe in ourselves too.
We’re certainly not master potters by any means. What we are is passionate, patient, gentle and, most importantly, always, always learning.
And perhaps that’s the greatest thing about what we do — we’re all still creating, still experimenting, still making mistakes and still discovering what’s possible.
Two very different souls. One shared passion. And a dream that became our reality. 🤍
