Hello you fine fellows,

After watching the grass grow under my feet, I decided to make the journey across the shire from Blairgowrie to a wee town called Crieff.

As I stand here, the first thing that strikes me isn’t the grass, it’s the trees! Is it a coincidence that Crieff translates to ‘Tree’ in Gaelic? I’ll let you decide. The second thing that strikes me is something a friend shared with me in more ways than one,

“The most rewarding journey isn’t about where we go, but where we are.”

So, I thought, well, while we’re here, we may as well go make some friends, drink a few more cups of tea, and see what stories emerge from the bottom of the cup! Come along!

And we will both be the better for it!

I’ll be back with another update for you when I have one.

Now, mind you, it wasn’t done by any great lord or wizard, but by the good folk of Tighnabruaich themselves! They came together and fundraised to secure a stretch of these rolling green hills, put it under their own care, and make sure their community could live, walk, gather, and go about their simple, pleasant doings in their very own woods and over their very own hills just as they pleased. Ain’t that worth the view from the top? This particular trail is named, ‘The impossible path’ because many people didn’t think it was possible to create, let alone put a bench on top of it…. Oh, and that stretch of blue ahead is the Kyles of Bute and further beyond this lies the northern tip of the Isle of Arran.

Ah, well, you know how it is when good people put their minds to something.

As Rob Borusso, director, says, ‘you need to believe in it to see it, rather than see it to believe it.’
