Supporting someone who is grieving can feel uncomfortable. You may worry about saying the wrong thing or not knowing how to help.
But often, the most meaningful thing you can do is simply show up.
A text message. A phone call. A listening ear. A quiet presence.
You don't need perfect words. You don't need all the answers. You just need to let them know they don't have to carry their grief alone.
Grief doesn't need to be fixed. It needs to be witnessed. It needs to be met with compassion, patience, and love.
Long after the flowers have faded and the sympathy cards have been tucked away, they will remember who stayed. They will remember who checked in, who sat beside them in their pain, and who reminded them they weren't alone.
🤍 Sometimes love looks like having the courage to be there when someone's world has fallen apart.💜🪽
