Do you sell at markets - want to grow your email list without another app, QR code or bit of tech on your stall? šŸ‘€

Iā€™ve made something for you.

The Join the Mailing List sheet is designed to sit on a clipboard at your stall so customers can leave their details and opt in to hear from you again.

And itā€™s completely free.

Itā€™s one of the printable resources inside The Studio Paper Binder from Fern Dale Makers Studio - a growing collection of practical paperwork for people who actually make and sell things.

There are free downloads for different kinds of makers too, including:

ā€¢ Join the Mailing List - useful for makers, artists, crafters and market traders
ā€¢ Candle Burn Sign-off - Launch Standard - for candle makers
ā€¢ Skincare Batch Production Record - for skincare & soap makers

No Studio subscription needed. No purchase required.

Just useful paperwork you can print and actually use.

Comment ā€œBINDERā€ and Iā€™ll tell you where to get the free downloads.

And if you know someone who spends their weekends behind a market stall, send this to them - the mailing-list sheet might be the most useful freebie they pick up this week.

Theyā€™re back. Finally. šŸ˜†

The sugar scrubs have been out of stock for far too long, but Iā€™ve finally been back at the bench making them again.

For now, Wild Current and Golden Bloom have returned, along with a brand new one:

Amber Grove
Sweet Orange & Rosemary

These are rich, emulsified full-body sugar scrubs designed to polish, smooth and soften the skin, and Iā€™d forgotten just how lovely they are to make.

A small restock for now ā€” but a very welcome one. āœØ

Thereā€™s always that moment when you pour a soap and thinkā€¦

Well. Weā€™ll see what that looks like tomorrow. šŸ˜†

This is Dark Cologne, a brand new tallow soap.

I went for black and cream, poured it, and waited patiently for the cut.

And Iā€™m so glad I did.

The swirls have come out completely differently in every bar ā€” smoky, marbled and slightly dramatic, which feels absolutely right for this one.

Now it just needs time to cure before itā€™s ready.

If you hear vanilla and immediately think very sweet, sugary, bakery-type fragrancesā€¦

This isnā€™t that.

Vanilla & Musk is the quieter, more grown-up side of vanilla.

Soft vanilla. Powdery musk. Understated warmth.

It starts creamy and familiar, then the musk comes through and makes it softer and almost skin-like. Thereā€™s gentle sweetness from tonka, warmth from amber and cedar underneath it all to give it a lovely grounded edge.

And I think thatā€™s what I like most about this one.

It doesnā€™t need Christmas, pumpkins or cold weather to make sense.

Itā€™s the candle you light because youā€™re home.

Because youā€™ve tidied the living room.

Because someoneā€™s coming over.

Or because absolutely nobody is coming over and youā€™d quite like the house to smell gorgeous for yourself. šŸ˜‚

Vanilla & Musk.

Definitely vanilla. Just not as you might expect it.

This one is rather special.

Ancient Glow.

Itā€™s warm, deep and slightly mysterious - the sort of fragrance that makes a room feel different without immediately shouting about what it is.

Thereā€™s resinous amber, sandalwood and vanilla, with gentle cinnamon and sweet orange running through it.

But the feeling I kept coming back to when I was working on it was old wood in warm evening light.

That golden hour when everything becomes a little softer, the room starts getting darker and you havenā€™t quite reached for the lamps yet.

Thatā€™s Ancient Glow.

Warm. Woody. Ambered. Quietly beautiful.

And after all the testing, tweaking and waiting, itā€™s finally ready to leave my house and start making other peopleā€™s homes smell rather fabulous too. šŸ¤Ž

Apparently autumn is officially here.

The weather, however, seems to have missed the memo. šŸ˜‚šŸ‚

But Iā€™m ignoring that because Pumpkin Season is finally ready to make its proper appearance.

This is exactly the sort of fragrance I love at this time of year - warm, sweet and spicy, with ginger, clove, orange and nutmeg running through it, softened with caramel and vanilla.

Itā€™s rich and cosy without smelling like Iā€™ve emptied the entire contents of the baking cupboard into a candle šŸ˜‚

And yes, it may currently be a little warmer outside than the name Pumpkin Season would suggest, but the evenings are drawing in, the leaves are changing and I am absolutely ready for autumn scents.

So Iā€™m calling it.

Pumpkin Season has begun. šŸ‚

The weather can catch up when itā€™s ready.
