Lovely to happen upon our beloved musical director in a snap from the Swindon Advertiser.

The Swindon Music Marathon was a great success raising a HUGE amount for a great cause. Well done to everyone involved with the event!!

A 24-hour music marathon that took place in a Swindon church has helped to raise over £25,000 for Prospect Hospice.

The day after. “What next?”, you might ask.

Over the next week we’ll collect media along with feedback from participants and audience members. We’ll look at what we did well, and how we can do better to serve the creative practices of the people of Swindon and its wider areas.

We’ve got so much in the pipeline and can’t wait to share further opportunities to participate in and empower the cultural scene.

Keep your eyes peeled for announcements on official release schedule for media from the show. For now it’s back to the grind: both literally and figuratively. ☕️

Two days to go!!!

Introducing Aino Konkka, Mezzo soprano, who will be singing the role of the Angel with us this Sunday.

Aino performs regularly as a concert soloist for choral societies and is a member of the Philharmonia Chorus Professional Singers' Scheme. She also enjoyssinging solo recitals and teaching Finnish through song to toddlers at the Croydon Finnish School twice a month. She has performed for organizations such as Grange Park Opera, Longborough Festival Opera, Hampstead Garden Opera, South Downs Opera, St. Paul's Opera, and Grimeborn Festival.

From our Dream of Gerontius rehearsals at New College, Swindon. This isn’t even half of the choir, let alone the orchestra. Words cannot describe how absolutely MASSIVE this is going to sound in the Great Western Hall at STEAM this weekend! We are so looking forward to meeting the rest of our wonderful choir and orchestra on Sunday!! Ps, the Baritone is Charlie Morris 🙏, but you’ll be hearing go more about him tomorrow. Oh, and we had Julia from Swindon 105.5 there too. We’re incredibly appreciative of their support in the run up to the day! Here’s to hoping we all have good “radio voices”! 🥂
