It just occurred to me that I should provide some reference for my previous post...

So last year I was commissioned to create a sculpture of a well known Victorian Naturalist from Swindon called Richard Jefferies. I carved him from a condemned horse chestnut tree in a beautiful park in Swindon Old Town.

Here are some pics of the progression from tree to sculpture, Which originally had a bird alighting onto Jefferies finger...

Butterflies against vandalism.

After repairing the bird that was broken by a vandal, and it lasting less than a week before someone did it again, I thought I'd try something different.

I've Put a small hook on Richard Jefferies finger and attached a Butterfly that's glued to a small peg.

Anytime we see a vandal has removed the Butterfly maybe we could create another, glue it to a peg and clip it on his finger.🙂

Maybe we could do something similar wherever we see vandalism? Replace the hate with a little bit of love...
