In this celebratory, community‑powered episode, Peggy‑Sue welcomes Eddie and Lily from the Wiltshire Music Awards, the team shining a spotlight on the incredible talent across Wiltshire’s vibrant music scene. From rising stars and original bands to DJs, venues, instrumentalists and local legends, the Wiltshire Music Awards champion every corner of the county’s musical heartbeat.
With nominations cast from 1 May to 10 June 2026, the Awards highlight creativity, passion and dedication — recognising artists, duos, bands, tribute acts, producers, promoters and the unsung heroes who keep Wiltshire’s music alive. Eddie and Lily share the story behind the Awards, the excitement building toward the 2026 ceremony, and how musicians and supporters can get involved, nominate, volunteer and celebrate together.
This episode dives into the categories, the judging process, the community impact, and the joy of raising profiles and bringing people together, all wrapped in the warm, enthusiastic spirit that makes Wiltshire’s music scene so special.

Join me, Peggy‑Sue, on Swindon 105.5 from 8pm–9pm, as I welcome the organisers of Efest Music Festival to the studio — and trust me, this is one festival you’ll want on your summer calendar!

Efest 2026 is proudly known as Wiltshire’s Most Family Friendly Festival — a vibrant, joyful, community‑driven celebration running from Thursday 27th to Monday 31st August. Born from a birthday party during Covid, it’s now in its 7th year and gearing up for its biggest festival yet.

With 29+ music acts, 2 stages, 3 days of live music, kids’ entertainment, daily competitions, fun games, fancy‑dress themes (Christmas! Hawaiian shirts! Bucket hats!), camping, great food from Mazzas Munchies, and festival favourites at Ian’s Bar, Efest is all about good vibes, good music, and good memories.

And this year, they’re proudly raising money for Prospect Hospice and The Roxi Foundation — making the festival feel even more special.

Tonight, we’ll dive into the magic behind the scenes, the heart of the organisers, and what makes Efest such a warm, welcoming, family‑friendly gem in the Wiltshire festival scene.

Join me, Peggy‑Sue, on Swindon 105.5, tonight from 8pm–9pm, as I welcome the wonderfully soulful Matt JR Hurley to the studio, and he’ll be playing acoustically LIVE on air!

Matt is a singer‑songwriter with a maturity and emotional depth far beyond his years. It’s hard to believe he only began songwriting seriously in 2015. With a nomadic upbringing as the son of a church pastor, and years spent working as a youth worker on the south coast, Matt’s music is shaped by real life, real experience, and real faith.

He writes honest, vulnerable, beautifully engaging songs about life’s highs and lows, exploring God’s love, personal reflection, heartbreak, hope, and the tough questions we all face. His lyrics are poetic, earthy and deeply human, blending storytelling with raw emotion.

In 2016, Matt released his debut single “Pebbles” through Plankton Records, a stunning lament born from sudden personal loss, capturing the struggle of processing grief and reaching out to God when He feels far away. His first EP, “Raising Questions,” followed soon after, filled with modern laments, songs of hope, and powerful choruses wrapped around Matt’s signature acoustic sound.

Since then, he’s continued to share his music across the country, solo, with a band, and as part of Beyond The Mountain, his duo with fellow songwriter April Shipton. Together, they bring messages of hope to those facing life’s hardest mountains.

Tonight, you’ll hear Matt’s heart, his story, and his music, stripped back, intimate, and live from the studio.

Tonight, 8pm-9pm, join me, Peggy-Sue on Don't Stop The Music Radio Show, as chat to the organisers of Minety Music Festival, which is taking place this weekend!

Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, Minety Music Festival is back with its eighth event, following on from a hugely successful 2025 event.

This community not for profit 4-day, family-friendly, summer music festival (run entirely by volunteers) aims to raise funds for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Naomi House & Jacksplace Hospice, Combat Stress and Kandu Arts, as well as securing future charity fundraising events.

Minety Music Festival is a 4 day music event with over 100 bands / acts on 4 stages... Plenty to do and see for the whole family. It’s a great way to spend your summer weekend... and generally an excuse to have a bit of a party!

Join me, Peggy‑Sue, on Swindon 105.5 from 8pm–9pm, as I welcome the wonderful Wiltshire Hope & Harmony Charity to the studio — the incredible team behind Wiltshire’s uplifting and life‑changing Dementia Choirs.

These choirs are so much more than singing groups. They’re safe, supportive, joy‑filled spaces where people living with Dementia — along with their families, carers and support staff — can come together, find connection, and rediscover their voice through the power of music. Every session is designed with care, compassion and positivity at its heart.

The charity’s founding member, Lisa Williams, first witnessed the transformational impact of music therapy during her master’s training in 2018 with the visionary Aphasia Choir at UWE. Inspired and determined, she set her sights on creating something just as meaningful here in Wiltshire.

Despite the delays of the pandemic, her dream came to life in 2023 with the launch of the Royal Wootton Bassett Dementia Choir & Café. Since then, the choir has supported hundreds of people living with Dementia and associated conditions — meeting weekly at St Bartholomew’s Church Hall or heading out “on tour” to care homes, community venues and churches across the area.

Tonight, we’ll be celebrating their story, their mission, and the incredible impact they’re making in our community.

Let’s fill your Tuesday night with hope, harmony, and heart.

TONIGHT ON DON’T STOP THE MUSIC RADIO SHOW!
I am live on Swindon 105.5 from 8pm–9pm, and tonight I am welcoming the brilliant Paul Cann into the studio!

Paul is an English‑born musician with a truly global story. After graduating with a BSc in Computer Science, he packed up his talents and headed to Canada, and now he’s back on home soil, bringing a world of musical experience with him.

His debut album, What Does It Mean To You?, was created in 2023 at AB Studios in Calgary, Alberta. Every single track was composed by Paul himself. He didn’t stop there — he also provided the vocals for the non‑instrumental tracks and played guitar, bass, keyboards, and even banjo. A one‑man musical powerhouse.

Join me for an hour of great conversation, creativity, and the kind of music that comes straight from the heart.
