November's theme is MYSTERY
Willoughby curates Record Club on 12th November. But will we ever find out what he’s planning?
As usual, the music starts at 7pm. And make sure you've got your drink and a seat, ready for 7.30pm, when Willoughby introduces his first featured album of the evening. But what will it be?
Please, bring along any mystery-themed album tracks and singles, if you have any.

A small but perfectly formed group of Record Clubbers enjoyed this month's featured album: Inferno by Boards of Canada. This is Keith's album of the year, and not only did it seem to go down well with the group, but a few Showbar punters seemed to like it too.
Also played was music by Angine de Poitrine, My New Band Believe, Ulrika Spacek, Gong, Model/Actriz, Fergal Scahill & Ryan Mollov, Chris Rea, Water from Your Eyes, and The Chemical Brothers.

This Thursday...

What records have you bought and played to death this year? Keith plays one of his favourites, and invites everyone to play some of theirs too.
Hopefully, we’ll all pick up some great tips this evening.
The Showbar, Thursday 8th October, from 7pm. Featured album introduced at 7.30pm.

More on October's Record Club:
The blurb says, "What records have you bought and played to death this year? Keith plays one of his favourites, and invites everyone to play some of theirs too. Hopefully, we’ll all pick up some great tips this evening."
I've been asked a couple of times what qualifies for this month's theme. I have to admit that I was deliberately vague, because I was hoping that people wouldn't be doing things like bringing a 2026 reissue of Dark Side of the Moon. I'm genuinely hoping that people will bring music which was new to them this year — whether it was originally released this year or not.
The session will all be about the discovery of something new to you and me, a new fad, a new band, a new album or song. Something new to you that you've reached for repeatedly this year. Let's share the buzz!
