Cotton Team Racing CTR Cotton Team Racing is a newly founded team ran by father and son Dave & Eliott Cotton.

CTR will be running at kart meetings all over England in the 2012 season, whilst competeing in the NKF 2012 Championships. Awning space is available for these meetings so if you are interested in joining our team, and sporting the CTR graphics then get in touch with Eliott or Dave. The Team;

after a terrible weekend at PFi, things can only get better. Lesson you learn in karting is one weekend you are first, the next you are last. On the up side, we learnt a few things that we can now carry on to the NKF round. Hopefully things run smoothly.

After CTR's recent success we hope that people are starting to recognise our hard work to get this team up and running. We will be constantly trying out best to improve on equipment and knowledge, the more support we get, the quicker this will happen. The next full team outting for CTR will be the PFi club meeting on June 3rd were we will be offering awning space and team advice for a start-up fee of £40 per day. Also Eliott will be at PFi the saturday before this meeting with CTR driver Darren Brown to help out if anyone needs any help. From PFi, Eliott and Darren will be driving over to Fulbeck were Darren will be racing and flying the CTR flag, if anyone needs any help dont hesitate to ask Darren or Eliott. We offer services such as steering column straightening, axel straightening, tyre changing etc, for a small fee and we are happy to try and help with any problems people may have. Just got back from Rowrah NKF round 2. Great weekend overall for CTR, Eliott Cotton P1. The day wasnt all smooth for Eliott though, heat 1 he was took out from pole and recovered from last to tenth. From then onwards things for better with a 3rd and a 2nd in the following heats. Darren Brown found great pace this weekend after struggling some of saturday, managing some top 3 results and putting it in 5th for the final. Louis Large had great pace over the whole weekend but was unfortunate with some DNF's. Steven Haswell on his novice plates had his best weekend in karting to date after setting some very respectable lap times at his first ever time on the track. Well done boys!

Overall a good weekend at PFi this weekend, learning new things everytime we go. Eliott Cotton had a good weekend finishing 4th, 3rd then 2nd in his heats, meaning he qualified P2 in the final, but after making some changes for the final Eliott lost pace and eventually finished 3rd. Although Eliott was dissapointed with the final, 3rd is a great result for this being the second time he has ever been on the track. The other CTR driver out this weekend was Darren Brown who had a tough weekend struggling with set up and getting used to the track, but all this track time can only benifit both drivers for NKF round fast approaching.

New steering column extender bracket has arrived. This bracket can be used by the taller driver and allows the steering column even further movement, this creates more room for the arms and also takes the wheel further away from your legs. This is Eliott's as he is searching for further comfort in the seat and wants his arms to be less bent when steering. We will get this fitted to his kart and get it tested as soon as possible, keep checking for the test review, as this could benifit all you taller drivers that are wanting a less cramped drive.

As promised the new CTR bodywork!!! Not bad for our first effort of graphics fitting, and once again a big thanks to Motoshack Custom Graphics for supplying them. Eliott still has his chromed name stickers and race numbers to go on, so more photos to follow. Also later today we will have the first viewing of Darren Browns new bodywork as he is spending the day fitting his today. Darrens red colour scheme graphics will be uploaded later...

WOW!! Fitting a full new graphics kit to the OTK bodywork is the hardest thing we have ever done! After 3 hours of hard work we officially have the first ever set of CTR graphics on bodywork and ready to use, apart from some slight adjustments to the design of the nosecone. Great effort from Motoshack Custom Graphics, expect a lot more business from us!! Pictures of the bodywork will follow tomorrow morning as some well earned sleep is needed in the CTR camp tonight!
