Karolina inspiring me to knit patterns. Her's are on the left and gorgeous. I was doing 2 squares+ per evening, and the pattern was just different yarn.. Last night seriously addressed long raindrop. Impressed with myself (on the right) and not minding that it is slower. Which is a big thing for me - Mrs Fast-And-Sloppy.......

Following Karolina's lovely squares last night I did a basket weave effect but was totally rubbish on Long Raindrops - something to try again. Have slowed down a bit and realised someone will get this after the lockdown and it should be the best possible not just 'good enough'. Verging on mindfulness!!

To help us get through the next few weeks, Val, Amelia and Beth started to knit - and then thought that it would be great to do it all together, with you.
Val is a total expert while Beth and Amelia are absolute beginners, but there is a lot to be gained from knitting, for adults and kids alike, sharing and learning, with a purpose.
So we would like to create a project that all the community could contribute to, despite our isolation, then when life returns to some kind of normal, we can wash our squares and get together to assemble the finished item(s).

How do you fancy knitting 15cm squares (6 inches in old money) and we can make blankets or cushion covers depending on how many we complete? We thought the finished items could be donated to hospices or similar, but happy to discuss all that when we get together for the Stitch Up Party!
