September is here, and some of our young neighbours are heading back to school 🍂 After a summer of long, warm days, the much-needed rain has finally arrived, giving the plants a welcome drink as the temperatures begin to cool.
As everyone settles back into their usual routines, there’s plenty happening at PIP too. Here’s a look at what’s coming up over the next fortnight 👇
Saturday 12 September:
The Portland Inn Project is excited to invite you to an outdoor exhibition of artworks from two of our projects!
Neighbourhood Exhibition: Please join us for refreshments and pizza at the launch of these Neighbourhood artworks!
Opening 4pm
Talk and tour 4.30pm
Pizza 5.15pm
Close 6pm
Led by Rebecca and Katrina, we will be screen printing our Portland Pattern onto textile, ready for our upholstery group to use the fabric for stools and reupholstering furniture! Women who are part of our upholstery group are welcome to join the printing session for the morning before joining your session with Katie off site at 1. All families welcome, we will be printing until 2.30 and will clear up to finish by 3pm that day.
