Still Forever

Still Forever Solo dark electronic. There was nothing more that excited me, nothing I wanted to learn. It’s a new, interesting world of discovery and learning.

From a background in photography and visual art, music has been a significant factor in my life from childhood, and is what I came to when I felt that I’d come to the end of what I ever wanted to do with photography. How I felt about cameras at 13 is how I feel about synthesisers and music production now. Still Forever is the current title of this learning curve. Everything I’m doing at this point

revolves around building on my experience, learning as I go. As such, there’s little in the way of ‘quality control’. But I’ve always been open with my art - painting, sketchbooks, creative writing - and I see this as no different. The most important aspect of any creative pursuit, for me, is enjoyment. If someone else also enjoys it, that’s just a bonus.

Having a surprising amount of fun returning to an old mix. Originally released 7 years ago when I was very much still learning a LOT about mixing (still am, I’d be bored if I wasn’t).

It’s a track that was a live staple for ages, that I’d grown a bit bored of performing, but I’m reworking a few things at the moment for a performance later in the year, and maybe a re-release of a few older tracks re-worked and updated.

Creative burnout absolutely wiped me out last year, and it’s only in the last month I’ve felt an inclination to get back in the studio, so it definitely feels like I’ve turned a corner at last 🖤🎶🖤

day two, actual sound. Sampled the washing machine making the door rattle. Plus Ableton, drum plugin, microphone. This is Natasha, she’s not a massive fan of but she’s a cracking hairdresser and headrest.
