Rot In Hell/Moloch split (2011)
This 7" is a showcase of two of the best UK bands in the genre, it features a track by each band.
On the one hand Rot In Hell deliver an excellently executed piece of Integrity-esque metallic hardcore, proving why Deatwish Inc., one of the biggest labels in hardcore, felt they should release the band's second LP.
On the other hand Moloch deliver a groovy sludge metal corker with a 'southern' flavour to it. The Eyehategod comparison is quite obvious in this case and many might write off Moloch as a copy, albeit a very good one, on account of this track. This would, however, be a great mistake because Moloch's overall output is extremely varied and of great quality. Moloch is probably one of the best heavy bands in the UK, on par with Electric Wizard but because of their very DIY approach to making and releasing music they are yet to receive the accolade they truly deserve.
The 7" was released by East Midlands label Feast Of Tentacles, probably one of the best DIY hardcore labels in the country. With an impressive back catalogue of bands, this is a label that consistently releases music of the best quality showcasing the best hardcore talent in the UK.
