Yayoi Kusama inspired mushrooms in Art & Media yesterday!

All about the dots! 🔴🔵🟢🟣🟡

We used tinfoil to make the armature which we then covered in air drying clay and then used a mix of spray guns, pens and coloured air drying clay to add colours and lots and lots of dots!

STUDIO TACO AFTER HOURS! 🌚🎨

We hosted our first ever Adult Social Art Session this past weekend!
12 wonderfully willing guinea pigs came hung out at the studio Sunday evening and had a play with Carbon Paper Tracing + Acrylic Mark Making and Water Colour ‘colouring in’. It was a relaxed evening with art, chat and relaxation that we hope everyone enjoyed :)

We are hoping to offer social sessions on a monthly basis as well private events for celebrations, team get-togethers and special occasions.  More to come!!!

We can’t wait for Stirling Pride on Saturday.

We’re walking in the March leaving from Kings Park, any RCT-ers joining should meet Pamela and the gang at the park at 11, I’ll have various props and costumes with me. We’ll walk together, finishing at king st.

A smaller group are then performing on the main stage at just after 1. We’d love your support!

Excited to host our first Tuesday evening workshop!��3D Print & Design
S1-S6 Pupils
Tue 8th Sept 6-8pm

Learn the basics of 3D design and printing in this hands-on workshop. Students will be introduced to TinkerCAD, where they’ll design their own small 3D model in pairs or individually to be printed in the studio’s PRUSA printer. 120min session and price includes cost of print. Perfect for curious creators who want to explore digital design and bring their ideas to life! Small class to ensure teacher support.

NOTE - Due to printing time, finished models will be ready for collection within a few weeks.

‘White paper’ can sometimes feel daunting. So during this week’s classes each pupil chose a pre coloured background to work on top of. Then traced an animal using carbon paper then got free and creative with acrylic brush pens 😍

We started both Art and Media classes this week with a group icebreaker!

PASS THE PAPER PORTRAITS 😎

Each kid had a piece of paper and had 30 seconds to draw a ‘head shape’ only 🫥 then passed their paper to the right so the next person could draw the eyes 👀. Then passed again to draw the mouth 👄
And so on till the portraits were complete and created by the whole group together!

They thought it was hilarious and one class went on to guess what the jobs of their finished portraits would be 🤣

Thanks to David Galletly for teaching me this at one of his fab adult drawing nights!

Our Term 1 classes are now open for booking on our website.

This term as well as our popular P1-3 and P4-7 Art & Media Classes we will be offering an Animation Club for P4 - S2 and a 4 week Art and Play Club for Preschoolers. Spaces are limited so get in fast.

Classes will run on Wednesdays but we will be offering various workshops for High School pupils throughout the year on other evenings as well as Adult Creative Social Evenings. Stay tuned.
