Harry Hotspur (2026_0808)

September 1st - as we move in to autumn the landscape will start to change colours to browns and reds.

The 2026 Images by Raymond Dormer calendar will flip to show a well known stop off on the NC500 - the Kylesku Bridge in Sutherland. A curved box girder bridge officially opened in 1984 by the late H.R.H. Queen Elizabeth.

The 2026 Dunblane calendar will show Dunblane Cathedral with a magnificent sunset backdrop. This was also the cover for the Dunblane 2020 book I had printed which told how some individuals and business managed during the 1st lockdown. Copies of the book have sold out a couple of times but I still have a limited number available to purchase.

Thanks for the continued support and encouragement.

OK, it seems BT have gotten their act together and I'm back online on the PC.

To mark the return of the MAC - well, PC, I will offer an Images By Raymond Dormer 2027 calendar to those who let me know their favourite image off this site.
You will also win an A4 mounted print of that favourite image delivered to your door (or posted depending on how far away you are!).

Usual IBRD rules apply - comments on this post only, on my photo page will count. A random number generator will be used to choose a winner.

Competition will close on Saturday 19.09.2026. there is no cash alternative and this competition is not affiliated with Meta etc.

Good luck.

Please leave a comment below of your favourite image choice from my page - the pictures below are examples of the 2027 calendar.

Printing. Love it. It’s not just an image on screen. It’s alive in your hand. Vibrant colours and crisp memories like it was just yesterday. Tangible proof that it wasn’t a dream. This is Permajet Oyster 271 paper. My go to paper. PermaJet

A Road Often Travelled (2026_0805)

A beautiful cobbled street reminding us of days gone by in Berwick-upon-Tweed. We ended up here as a plan B the day we went to Lindisfarne but the car park was full. We had a great lunch in the Leaping Salmon to tide us over. Lots of quaint little shops down here. I wonder what they were back in the olden days?

2027 Dunblane Calendars are available at Tilly's or from me. Pop in for refreshments and pick up a calendar.

Bamburgh Castle Views.

A few images from the collection. A stunning area with golden beaches reaching almost as far as the eye can see. Any potential invaders may have thought twice when they approached the shore and spotted this fortress high on the rock.

Sunset At Bamburgh Lighthouse (2026_0804)

Just north along the coast from Bamburgh Castle is a little lighthouse. It was built in 1910 by Trinity House to guide shipping along the Northumberland coast. The building housing the lighthouse was an acetylene store which powered the original tower - the footprint can be seen on the concrete next to this building.
