Delighted to announce that our very own Star Penders (Annie Brannan) will be playing Missy in an exciting new imagining of "Macbeth" by renowned Scottish playwright Winnie Harris in February, at the Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh.

Descendants of Cartridge Girl Annie and Mary Brannan who died in 1884 at the Scottish Parliament to hear MSPs of all political stripes pay tribute to their great-great grand aunts - many thanks to everyone for their good wishes!

Apologies for the multiple postings - but tomorrow's gonna be a BIG day for our Cartridge Girls AND Ardeer...and we're a bit excited:)

Ruth is looking forward to her members debate on Thursday. The "Cartridge Girls" was the name given to the exclusively young female workers who manufactured the sticks of dynamite invented by Alfred Bernard Nobel (yes of the peace prize) at his factory in Ardeer....watch Scottish Parliament TV after FMQ to learn about the injustice that happened to the girls, as their names were smeared and the play by Jack Dickson that aims to put that right.

We've been rescheduled! Short notice I know, but VERY please that tomorrow at 12.45pm, MSP Ruth McGuire's Motion No. S6M-04642 - "Ardeer Girls Take Centre Stage" - will be debated in The Scottish Parliament. This means the names of our four Cartridge Girls will be entered into the Permanent Record (Scotland's equivalent of Hansard).

Tickets are still available - it's a bit of a trek through to Edinburgh but this is HISTORY in the making, people:)
