We would like to invite you to our last event of the year: a festive craft circle!

Fancy creating a charming twiggy Christmas tree to hang on your wall whilst listening to music and chatting away in the cosy community room at The Norris Museum? We will also make some fun paper decorations inspired by the Danish woven hearts.

We hope to help you get more into the festive spirit, creating some lovely things to keep for years to come, or perhaps give someone as a present.

We will provide everything you need to make your twig tree, and all kinds of paper for the paper decorations, as well as coloured strings, and some other bits and bobs.

What to bring?

Please bring any other decorations you might like to add to your tree, such as dried fruit, baubles, ribbons, fairy lights…

And some finger food to share for lunch.

We’ll provide lovely hot drinks throughout the day.

Tickets are £25 + £1.50 booking fee.

Places are limited to 12.

We will meet at the Community Room in the Norris Museum, 11.00-15.00 on Saturday 14 December.

Hope you can join us! 🤗

We’ve had the the most wonderful Hygge afternoon, with a raging storm outside, snuggled in upstairs in the Methodist Church. We carved out a few hours from our busy lives and life’s constant challenges, just to relax into this cosy space to share some scrumptious food, great conversation, a few songs and poems, and enjoy our time in such lovely company. Thank you all for coming and stepping into the experience with such open hearts. We didn’t take photos during the afternoon as we followed the most important rule of Hygge: turn off your phones, and be fully present. But here is a photo we took just before everyone arrived. This room
felt like our home for a few hours. (And yes, Gilly and I literally brought all our soft furnishings…😂) We now truly know how to Hygge, so bring on the winter, we are ready to embrace it. ❤️

We have a few more places for this lovely event next Sunday, hope you can join us!

We will be creating a HYGGE circle on Sunday 24 November, 2-5pm at the upstairs Meeting Room at the Methodist Church in St Ives.
Hygge is a Danish word that means “taking pleasure from the presence of soothing things”and “cosy togetherness”. So come join us, let’s kick our shoes off together. Pause. Unwind. Get to know each other (better) through playing the Hygge Game. Help create a beautiful space for a little time out from the worries of our world.
Sit together for a while in candlelight, with soft music, warm drinks, delicious food and good conversation. Let’s explore together the concept of Hygge and how to facilitate it. If you would like to bring and share a poem, a song, a piece of music that embodies Hygge for you, that would be lovely. Wear something comfy and please bring some yummy finger food to share. We will provide a selection of hot drinks.

Methodist Church PE27 5BY
Free parking at the Globe Car park, a minute walk away.
Tickets: £10 + £1.50 booking fee.

Thanks everyone who came to Art Jam, our second Opening Circle event, which we held at the wonderful community room in the The Norris Museum yesterday. We had a wonderful time, carving out a few treasured
hours for ourselves to play with paint, enjoy some scrumptious food and lovely company.
We played lucky dip first, and created with tools and colours we got in our mystery parcels, followed by a speedy musical chairs game where it was actually our paintings that moved, for other people to make there marks on them. We had a lot of fun! Will post our fabulous artwork in a separate post. ❤️
