We are essentially a group of friends who share a love for music. We pride ourselves on our eclectic set lists which include some of the greatest songs of the last 5 decades. We have all played in bands prior to getting together for the choir, so when we joined forces our experience enables us to make some new but respectful arrangements of the songs we cover. Feeling tired, everyone?

There are fewer more enjoyable ways to spend an evening than singing along to Oasis songs with your mates. If you want to be like Declan, Jude and the boys, then join several members of The Southsea Alternative Choir for a special charity-fundraising Oasis set at Southsea Beach Club on Friday 31st July.

On Friday 31st July, various members of The Southsea Alternative Choir will take to the stage in multiple combinations for a charity gig at the recently-refurbished Southsea Beach Club, near Clarence Pier.

Headlining will be Ok-ish – who some of you will have seen last summer at The Wedgewood Rooms. Sam Richards, Ash and Jim will be joined by two members of the Jaffa Cakes for a sing-along set of mid-‘90s Oasis bangers.

Talking of the Jaffa Cakes, they’ll be taking to the stage too, this time augmented by Ash on drums and Sam Richards on guitar.

Both Sams and Ash – plus their dear old mate Nick Jones – will be resurrecting their Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute. Some of you may remember them from the noughties. Sam Richards’ funky bass is not to be missed.

If that’s not enough TSAC for you, Tash Hills will be spinning discs. (And Charlie may be downing shots.)
