Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all well.

Just the usual reminder of our next concert, which will be on Saturday 27th June 2026 at 7.30pm at St Margaret's Church, Lime Avenue, Leigh-on-Sea.

Our concert contains a variety of different music. It includes the romantic Four Short Pieces by Frank Bridge, two Spanish Dances for guitar by Granados, the Kagome Variations by Kiyoshige Koyama, pieces for two violins and piano by Joe Hisaishi and a lovely slightly jazz-influenced Romance by the South Korean Sang Jin Kim and more! It looks like many Far East composers this time.

Hi Everyone,
I hope this finds you all well.

Just my usual reminder of our next concert, which will be next Saturday 16th May 2026 at 7.30pm at St Margaret's Church, Lime Avenue, Leigh-on-Sea. Sorry for sending this message out a little late.

We are very fortunate to have the Summers Trio joining us again, with a performance of a piano trio arrangement of Cesar Franck's popular Sonata for violin and piano. There will also be trios by Haydn and the Italian baroque composer Alessandro Besozzi plus Richard Stokkereit will be playing two guitar studies by Fernando Sor. There will also be performances of Max Bruch's Kol Nidrei for cello and piano and the Concertino for violin and piano by Oskar Rieding.

Hi Everyone,
I hope this finds you all well.

Just a quick reminder that our next concert will be on Saturday 7th March 2026 at 7.30pm at St Margaret's Church, Lime Avenue, Leigh-on-Sea.

We are very lucky that local soprano Elizabeth Dunlop will be joining us for this concert to sing Schumann's landmark song cycle Frauenliebe und Leben. There will also be a Mozart String Quartet, Muzio Clementi's Sonata for piano duet Op.14 No.3, plus works by Tchaikovsky, Vaughan Williams and Ian Clark.

Hi Everyone,
I hope this finds you all well.

Just the usual reminder of our next concert, which will be on Saturday 22nd November 2025 at 7.30pm at St Margaret's Church, Lime Avenue, Leigh-on-Sea.

We are very fortunate to have Niall and Rory Windass joining us again with performances of well chosen songs and solo organ pieces. We have two beautifully crafted baroque sonatas by John Stanley and Jean-Marie Leclair. Plus a folk song with theme and variations for guitar solo, by the Japanese composer Yuquijiro Yocoh and there will be two arias from Bach's St Matthew Passion, elegantly arranged for two flutes and piano.

Hi Everyone,
I hope that you are all well.

This is just the usual reminder of our next concert, which will be on Saturday 6th September 2025 at 7.30pm at St Margaret's Church, Lime Avenue, Leigh-on-Sea.

We'll be entertained by John Rutter's ever popular Suite Antique for flute and piano plus many piano solo/duet miniatures including five of Schubert's German Dances. The Serenade Op.128 by Leonhard von Call is a rarely heard work, by a little known composer, for the unusual combination of flute and guitar, but I am hoping that you will find it very listenable.

Hi Everyone,
I hope that you are all well.

Just a usual reminder of our next concert, which will be on Saturday 14th June 2025 at 7.30pm at St Margaret's Church, Lime Avenue, Leigh-on-Sea.

Once again we have got our chamber orchestra together to play some wonderful pieces including Elgar's Elegy, Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Greensleeves and Haydn's Piano Concerto in G with pianist Lara Clapp. Rory Windass will be joining us again to play some well known and some not so well known organ pieces. There will also be some more Haydn in the shape of one of his earlier string quartets plus some folk-song inspired recorder pieces composed by Christopher Ball.

We do hope that you might be able to join us there.

Hi Everyone,
I do hope that you are all keeping well.

Just to let you know that our Spring concert will be on Saturday 19th April 2025 at 7.30pm at St Margaret's Church, Lime Avenue, Leigh-on-Sea.

There will be an interesting programme of arias and songs by Bach, Schubert and Essex composer Armstrong Gibbs. Also small contributions of piano music by the Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov, a seldom-heard flute sonata by Beethoven and solo guitar pieces. All this and more.

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you know that our Winter concert will be next Saturday 22nd February 2025 at 7.30pm at St Margaret's Church, Lime Avenue, Leigh-on-Sea.

We have a very varied programme planned, which includes an epic trio by Hummel, a trio version of a probably familiar Shostakovich waltz, the wonderful Brahms Intermezzo Op.118 No.2 .Also a flute sonata by James Rae and three Tangos arranged for recorder and piano and much more.

We'll look forward to seeing you!
