Big news for Friday at IYOGA Fest 2026: We are honoured to announce that renowned yoga philosophy scholar, Prof. Edwin Bryant is joining us for a special one-off session, 2-5pm followed by a joint Q&A with Jayne Orton in the evening.

Edwin is Professor of Hinduism at Rutgers University and translator of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Edwin’s most recent published work is a sequel to this by the same publisher entitled Bhakti Yoga: Tales and Teachings from the Bhāgavata Purāṇa (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2017) This is a wonderful opportunity to study with him in person.

Jayne Orton continues to teach asana in the afternoon as planned and we have a morning of asana with Deborah Bartholomew in the morning. What an amazing day!

Included at no extra cost for anyone already booked in for Friday. Week, two day and day tickets for Friday only are still available - see the website for details.

IYOGA Fest Program Details:

We're often asked what the days actually look like — so here's the shape of them.

We begin with a welcome class on day one — plenty of time to settle in, followed by a hearty dinner.

Then the rhythm of the week begins: early morning pranayama followed by breakfast; an extended asana session, then lunch and free time; an afternoon presentation — philosophy or storytelling; an early evening yoga session followed by dinner; and evening celebrations to close the day.

On the final morning, an early breakfast leads into the Yoga Finale Class with Jayne Orton, and our farewells.

The teaching across the week:
• Tuesday & Wednesday — Alan Brown
• Wednesday & Thursday — Kirsten Agar
• Thursday & Friday — Deborah Bartholomew
• Friday & Saturday — Jayne Orton

Tuesday's opening with Alan Brown is exclusive to full-week participants — one of the quiet advantages of joining us for the whole festival.

And the evenings are their own celebration:
• Tuesday — Traditional Indian Puppets with Diana Bayliss
• Wednesday — The Ramayana, performed by Emily Hennessey & Sheema Mukherjee
• Thursday — Concert by The Trouble Notes!
• Friday — a Q&A with all our teachers

Coming for the full week means all of it. And if you're joining on a 2-day ticket, you can choose the pair of days that suits you best — Wednesday–Thursday or Thursday–Friday.
