We're hosting author Candida Mosoma on Monday 25 May between 1 and 3pm. Come and meet her at Parkside Yards; she's reading from her book "Khanyi and the Kite", singing, signing books and leading a kite making workshop.
It's a FREE family event and the book is perfect for children aged 4 - 8 (Kites are perfect for any age!)

Unlike rushed street applications, each appointment allows time for carefully crafted designs while you sit comfortably indoors. With proper aftercare, the henna stain can last up to 7 days, leaving you with a rich, beautiful colour for the celebrations.

All designs are applied using fresh, natural henna paste for the best colour and skin-safe application.

Experience the joy of fabric collage and creative hand embroidery through embellishment, mending, or personal expression. In this workshop, you will learn various appliqué methods and stitches inspired by a wide array of Indian textiles, including kantha, phulkari, and sh**ha embroidery.
With Amarjeet’s guidance, you will be encouraged to develop your own individual projects. Whether you want to create an art piece that explores creative storytelling or focus on the functional aspects of decorating garments, this workshop is for you.

These photos bring back some lovely memories of Gurinder Chadha's visit to Parkside Yards ahead of her new film Christmas Karma. Huge thanks to the Blair Peach pupils who learnt "Last Christmas" (Desi Version) in just a couple of days and the dancers.

Really pleased we're able to screen the film and hope you'll be able to join us to enjoy this feel good movie from the director of Bend It Like Beckham, Bride & Prejudice and loads more.

Christmas Karma has an all star cast and an eclectic soundtrack influenced by gospel, bhangra, carols, rap and classic pop songs. It features music from Gary Barlow, Nitin Sawhney, Shaznay Lewis, Ben Cullum, Panjabi MC, Jassi Sidhu and Malkit Singh.
